Very positive experience with DIS scheduling. Had a diagnostic study scheduled more than a month in advance. Then, less than a week before that scheduled appointment, one of my other physicians ordered two more diagnostics. DIS did a great job of coordinating the three separate diagnostics so that I could get them all done at the same time, at the original appointment. Even better, with DIS’s help, I was able to get them all done in the final days of the year….before a new year/new insurance deductible hit!!

I was a very late day, last minute add-on procedure for DIS. Still, everyone with DIS, beginning with the people with whom I spoke on the phone to schedule, to the reception personnel who checked me in, to the med tech who performed my procedure, was respectful, engaged, and caring towards me throughout my time at DIS.

The facility on Hwy 21 Covington is wonderful, have had 3 CT scans there now, 2 w IV contrast. Staff and equipment wonderful. Why, why, why can the scheduling center receive faxed orders and call to book the procedure! I had my doctor fax orders twice this year and DIS claims they were never received. Also, if the doctor office is not responding to a form DIS needs, call the patient so they can handle this w the Doctor. There is definitely a communication breakdown between doctors and DIS. It may be because doctors don’t want to “outsource” to other facilities they do not work with or for? Which makes me mad with the doctors. DIS is much more affordable than Ochsner imaging services.
