Traveled from Pensacola because this vet specialist was so highly recommend and it definitely was worth it. This place would easily have 500 plus 5 start reviews if was in a bigger city.
Dr. Yates clearly cares about the pets that come through this office. He treated our dog like it was his own, even describing our lab as his “kid” and sitting on the floor petting her while we went over the treat plans for her. The whole process was very smooth and reinsured us she was in good hands.

Wow. Where do you begin? These kind people are totally committed to the health and well being of your pet. Our little dachshund Daisy ruptured a disc and needed back surgery. Dr. Yates was so very thorough in his diagnosis and treatment plan for our dog. The support staff there is so caring and considerate. We could not be more pleased with our experience at Resurge. So grateful for their care and our dog is back to her normal self! We hope your dog does not have a serious spinal issue, but if they do, this is the only place to come. Miracles are made here.

Very disappointed in our appointment on September 19th Dr. Bogey Yates. We brought our little Lottie for an initial consultation because we thought she was having some neurological problems. We weren't sure if it was neuro or something else that was affecting her. Dr. Bogey took her in the back and gave her an examination and pretty much said there were different tests she could have but there wasn't anything definitive unless we did imaging and extensive testing. I asked when we left for the progress notes from our visit to bring to her visit with her opthalamologist the following Wednesday. The check out girl said she would email us the notes. Weekend came and gone & Tuesday I called about the notes and he hadn't done them yet. Really??? BUT...The icing on the cake was when I called Wednesday morning the day we were seeing her eye doctor and was told he was going to do the notes that day. I told them we had a 1:00 pm appointment & I needed the notes to let her know her status. Then, the office girl called back and asked if we could resend the videos that I had already sent by email when I was there again. A little while later we received the progress notes. What office makes a patient wait a week to receive the notes from their visit, the girl in the front that I spoke with made it sound like this wasn't the first time this has happened. They definitely wanted their payment right then and there plus when I made the appointment I had to pay a $50.00 deposit for the appointment and that would be credited on my bill.
Finally when we received the notes it was like reading a general form letter. I sent the progress notes to both of Lottie's doctors who both concurred that the diagnosis was really a generalization and not pin pointing anything specific that could have shed some light on her condition and her situation. Very disappoining to say the least.

Don't hesitate to bring your pet here for a surgical procedure. You won't be disappointed! Dr. Ladato and her staff went above and beyond, to make my wife and I feel comfortable and stress free. The communication from this office is amazing. We received calls before and after the surgery, then again after going home. Sent us a picture of our girl while she was in the hyperbaric chamber. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

Resurge is the best pet surgical unit. The 24 hour care of their patient was more than we could have hoped for.

If you have other options, explore them first. My dog needed a bilateral sacculectomy and our primary vet referred us to Resurge. Our initial impressions of Resurge and Dr. Lodato were great and we felt comfortable having the procedure done.
After a two day stay, I brought my dog home and she seemed to be recovering well. Fast forward to a week after the surgery and one of her incisions opened. I contacted Resurge via email and sent pictures (this is encouraged) and was told the information would be passed along to Dr. Lodato.
By the next morning, I still hadn't heard anything and my dog was still bleeding so I followed up with another email. My dog's incision started bleeding more so I called and was told they would again pass it along to the doctor. I had also emailed a new picture showing the open hole on my dog's wound. I got an email response from a tech telling me more antibiotics would be prescribed and to not "mess with it" and "don't let her scoot her booty". My dog's incision never stopped bleeding.
By Sunday of the next week, the incision was bleeding continuously and more so l again called Resurge but there was no vet on duty. I had to make an appointment with my regular vet to have my dog seen the following day. Four staples were placed in her incision. The next day, the incision was still bleeding a small amount and my regular vet did not feel comfortable treating the incision so I was referred back to Resurge. My regular vet called and facilitated the process of having her seen by Resurge. I took her back to Resurge where they kept her all day. I was told she was examined and the bleeding was addressed. I picked up my dog only to see globs of wound glue sloppily placed all around the staples that were already in place. I got my dog home and she was still bleeding.
I don't trust this vet and don't want her anywhere near my dog so now my only option is an emergency vet. This surgery cost $4000 plus the expense of having her treated by our regular vet and now the potential expense of an emergency vet.
Dr Lodato has been MIA since our initial consultation and has put the responsibility of dealing with us on her techs and office staff. I'm rating two stars because the surgery seems to have been successful and the staff in the office have been helpful.

Top Notch Facility and work group. It’s scary to end up here with your beloved 4 legged friends but rest assured - the staff and doctors treat you with respect and you get the sense that they care as much as you do! Ensure your pets if they are at risk for genetic deficiencies! Would recommend Boogie/jordan and the entire staff for the outstanding treatment and plans of my beloved babies! If you are looking for IVDD support - this is your place!

Resurge gave me another month with my sweet Giovanni that I would never have had without them. Their care and commitment to my little one helped us get through the toughest time we've ever had. They made him like a puppy again for the last month of his life, and I know they did everything in their power to heal him. They were there to the very end, and I would never trust anyone but Resurge to care for another one of my baby's neurological health.

Dr. Lodato is our very own Christmas angel! She performed surgery on our 12 and a half year old pug to remove a mast cell tumor that we had previously been told could not be removed with clean margins. Our poor girl has had this tumor growing on her since May of this year. The mass was located in an area of her rear leg that was "impossible" to fully excise the tumor with the exception of amputating her leg, which due to her age, we did not want to do! Dr. Lodato did the impossible! And our sweet girl was never in pain post surgery. She came through the surgery amazingly well and we could not be more thankful. We only wish we had seen her much sooner this year. A HUGE thank you to her and the AMAZING staff of Resurge who treated our baby with lots of TLC. We are beyond grateful! I will recommend her to anyone who has a pet that needs surgery. I also love that they have a licensed acupuncturist on staff as well as licensed technicians! These things are hard to find in this area. I live about 50 miles away and will gladly make the drive to have this kind of care for my fur babies!

We had our Shih Tzu surgery tplo done here. She did limp for a while after which was concerning us but no limp at all now. She is great and they did a great job.My only negative is you don’t see the doctor again after the first consultation. I can’t imagine that being ok in the human medical world. Other than that it was great. We Loved all the staff and my girl did wonderfully! I highly recommend.
