Had an appointment and was early and waited over an hour and 15 minutes to actually have the exam past the appt time. Staff are very pleasant just not overall happy with the wait time on an appointment.

Optometrist was great, the young lady who wrote everything up failed to mention they no longer accept Cigna. Instead says she couldn’t find my policy. She said if I could find my policy I could pay for everything and just have it reversed and filed. I spent $850 with them knowing they were out of network with Cigna. Dishonest and rude. Will never be back.

Mikayla and Naomi were AWESOME! I received fast professional service and did not feel pressured or coerced at all! They were both helpful, honest and very friendly! I would recommend America's Best here in Denham Springs to anyone wanting great service from people who really care!!!!!

Denham Springs location was friendly & helpful. Dr. Mengarelli was very informative and thorough. I couldn’t get in to see my regular optometrist, I decided to walk in due to eye irritation. I waited a few minutes with two other people before me which was expected walking in with no appointment. Definitely a pleasant experience.

Completely unprofessional. Denham Springs, LA location…My first visit to America's Best I saw a Dr virtually. No problem with virtual, only I was told once the virtual Dr joined that she wouldn't be able to do a contacts prescription bc this office did not have a Dr available. *Why did you allow me to make this appointment?* The assistant then says well the Dr will be back in this office in X days. Oh okay cool, now virtual Dr can proceed to prescribe contacts since another Dr will be available to follow up in person before finalizing the prescription. Cool. I ended up not liking the brand the virtual dr recommended so on my follow-up visit I told the assistant and she conversed with the Dr and sent me on my way with the brand I chose. This visit was a good experience overall. Never saw the Dr. Cool, but it was originally told to me seeing the Dr in person was required. My next follow-up to finalize the prescription was 2/7/24. The assistant who helped me both times prior was not there. The assistant at this visit was not very personable, but okay nbd. She asked me how things were I said good and that was it. She didn't look at the fit or anything... just said since I like the lenses there was no need to see the doctor. *Fine by me as a 20-year lens wearer, but that is not what was told to me. I was told I would not be able to get a contact prescription here without seeing the dr in person. I was happy I didn't have to wait on the dr, but it wasn't best practice and it wasn't what was represented during my first visit.The real complaint I have is about the professionalism of the staff. After the follow up with the assistant, she told me to go up front and they would check me out. I go up front and the two staff members were busy so I waited.. no problem. Calls kept coming in and phones kept getting answered and people kept coming into the lobby and being helped, but no one ever addressed me. The young lady who was working in the lobby was handling phone calls and she was talking to these patients on speakerphone for everyone in the lobby to hear. That is not okay. A third staff member had come in and started helping one of the patients who had seen the Dr. The gentleman who was working in the lobby had a pause so I asked if he could check me out. He acted confused but offered to help. He said he did not see a chart for me so he wondered what I was waiting for. (No one ever addressed me) The young lady who was helping someone who walked in for a glasses adjustment (the same young lady who was on speakerphone before) says from across the room that that was because the assistant had given my chart directly to her. I told her then I should have been helped before these walk ins, etc. Or at the very least just address me and say I will be with you in a moment. The young man was very nice and really the staff was nice enough. But not inviting and not professional at all.

Be prepared to wait even if they aren't busy. I've never seen the doctor sooner than an hour AFTER my appt time.

I honestly had a horrible experience the first time I tried America's Best in baton rouge. But recently I had an emergency where my glasses lens was beyond repair and needed contacts immediately, as I can't drive without correction. The denham springs location got me in with maybe an hour to spare before closing (after I was helped immensely but the Hammond staff but they were booked up) and had me fitted with contacts. Micah up front Found my contacts, which are for an astigmatism, for a much more affordable price. I walked out the door spending about a fourth of what I thought I was going to spend And that's without my insurance covering anything. They have definitely changed my mind and couldn't be happier with the experience.

Horrible Customer Service ... Asked to speak with the Manager (Stacy believe that was her name and or Shaunda) the girl answering the phone was naive as to answering any questions. Employees answer to everything was "I dnt know" with sarcasm rather than actually making the attempt to figuring any information out .. She was very rude .. They will not call you back when your glasses arrive ( when they in fact said they would) nor will you know when they will .. and more than likely you will wait more than a month for them (like I did) ... Very unprofessional, rude and no work ethics ..Wouldn't recommend this particular location ..

Longest wait times. If there is no appointment available just say that. To be scheduled and wait over an hour to be seen each time isn’t worth it especially when you take your lunch break for it.

The most unprofessional staff I have to deal with they schedule you for sometime and they don't even apply that time that you were scheduled for waiting time is ridiculous over an hour or two hour wait. Time to be seen by the doctor.

Very slow and there was not any customers except us. We were in there 4.5 hrs in all between me my 3 person family. We’ve been to other optometrist and were out within an hour including ordering what we needed. This one was by far the most disappointing. I dropped of a 2-piece packet that i just found out I needed filled out by the optometrist for out of state drivers license renewal. I was told by the end of the day yesterday. I went to check on it bc i did make it clear that it was a timely matter and they extended it till the next day. FF and now they lost it and tell me the optometrist isn’t in when they clearly said it would be ready today. Customer service is very poor and especially time management.
