“We went to Latils Landing during their winter menu. The food was absolutely one of the top 5 meals I've ever had. And that's saying something as I have been all over the world eating great food. The grouper with wild mushrooms was positively sublime. The lobster and sweet potato bisque with truffle oil was a surprising hit. The use of warm water lobster rather than cold water lobster was inspired. The sweet potato needed no additional sweetness and the lobster added a nice texture to the bisque. The waigu beef rib was positively succulent and tender in a way only properly prepared waigu can be. And the balance of salt, spices, and acids was perfect. I will return when the spring menu starts. I'm curious if the chef can keep this level of gustatory performance up.”
“Houmas House is one of my favorite locations to visit to enjoy beauty, elegance, sophistication, and southern charm, along with my favorite sounds: peace and quiet, bird chirps/calls, and the orchestra of cicadas.One must experience all that the grounds offer: the beautiful landscape, unique dining options, a tour of the home, the museum, a view of the Mississippi River from the levee, and an overnight accommodation at the inn.I live in Houston where I work as a nurse among the busy and loud background, no matter which side of the door you are standing. I escape the city and retreat to Houmas House because the experience brings peace and joy to my soul.I’m looking forward to visiting in the spring ❤️.”

“Overall the stay was good. The rooms were clean , the location was good. One important piece of info is they don't serve breakfast. They do have coffee in the snack area but was rarely warm unless you use the coffee on the go option. Our first night the lady at the front desk was great , other than that you might have to wait a little while for assistance. Also they do not have hair dryers, we were told because of COVID ?. So bring a hair dryer and food and you will be good.”

“I was greeted by a friendly front desk clerk.The room and property were clean. Staff was great,breakfast buffet was well stocked and kept tidy. Perfect location for shopping at the outlet mall. Loved the Christmas Tree in the lobby!”

“Went for a work lunch with a large group, since the buffet is an easy choice. The food was pretty solid, not a ton of options, but a decent variety (not for vegetarian folks have to say!) The staff was super accommodating so I don't want to knock their service, they were fantastic. The room itself is beautiful but it is SO LOUD. Like, I could barely carry a conversation with the person next to me loud. It was honestly just a lot. I don't think I'd go back unless I was there touring the property (and didn't want to splurge for the fancier restaurant). The grounds are stunning, and there's a lot to do on site, I do want to go back and see the rest.”
