Small, privately owned artisan shop. Don't be afraid to pull in. The dog is friendly, and so is the potter! Lovely merchandise.

So very sorry that I am rating this studio with one star. There was a full color brochure at our hotel for them. There are NO caveats regarding deviations from their listed hours. We drove all the way out to their studio (which is also their home). They were closed. We tried calling before we drove all the way out there- no answer and no message regarding them being closed. We felt confident they'd be open as a professional business and assumed they were helping a customer/s. NOPE!

The designs are one of a kind and there is always something new every time I go there. I also bring a new friend. David and his wife are super nice and not pushy at all..

I love how it is in a remote area close to the crawfish farms and the rice farm. I also love the street name, so í propos!! Emily was not feeling good we could tell: I asked her how she was doing, she told us that she had better days. She was still there to answer our questions. I was there with my husband and my parents. I was looking for a big salad bowl and I sure found it! My mom was agreeing with me that the quality of the pottery was great and it was worth splurging a little more (88$ for the bowl). You know I don't mind paying more for quality and I love encouraging local artists. My mom bought a big blue plate to serve couscous meat and whatnot. It's a nice little shop, would come back!

We found the Wortman Pottery place by going to Trip Advisor. It is well off the beaten path, but worth going to. Great pottery, great gifts to purchase!

I have great difficulty walking out of the showroom... too many things that I want just setting around on the shelves! Also love that I can special order items.
