The store is very clean.If you are looking for items you can't find in other stores they have it.Prices ok on somethings other things high.
The Cashier was very respectful and Welcoming.

I just left Aldis on Wall Blvd. & Belle Chasse. Their mangoes are listed as 1.29 a piece. I always buy mangoes from there & there usually .87 cents a piece. I left Walmart market place on Harvey & Manhattan right before going to Aldis and their mangoes are .97 cents a piece. I should have got them from Walmart. I walked out of Aldis and didn't get anything!

I bought chips from there the veggies kind it’s always stale and soft brownies also were all butter melted and it shows !!fruits not always fresh n good! Other then that it’s a nice clean store but needs to be bigger like the old Winn-Dixie

My favorites at Aldi are their strawberries, bagged salads, bagels, and their thin-sliced Simply Nature graintastic bread. Their strawberries are sooo sweet. I also enjoy their seasonal snacks and their home decor. This location does not have self scan for purchases. Do not forget to bring a quarter for a basket and bags for your groceries.

Not a one stop shop. Very limited selections. Not a favorite. Don't see much savings on prices.

Brought meat, and it smelled sour when I opened the pack the same day. Also had someone shadowed you around, Winn Dixie was better.

A great addition to the local economy. Largest I have ever seen so more room on each aisle (I don't think there is more product, just more space).
Thank you Aldi. Now please open some new locations in the East where it's a food desert compared to here.

25JUN25 ~ Aldi's is open! Many of the former Winn Dixie employees are working there now. It opened this morning at 0900 hours. It is smaller than the Winn Dixie footprint, primarily because it carries mostly Aldi brands. In most of the items that I am familiar with, Aldo's prices are normally lower.

I don't know what they did with all the space that winn Dixie had. It looks almost half the size. I saw videos and heard rumors about aldi's meat being either lab grown or just fake but decided to try for myself. I bought 2 new York strip steaks. They tasted good, way more tender than any other NY strip I've bought and cooked but I've never seen a real steak look porous like this. Steak is supposed to have a grain/string with fat running through it in spots. This didn't. I won't shop meat here again. Customer service/cashier was nice and the store was clean so 2 stars for that.

I was so excited about Aldi‘s coming to Gretna because I love the one in Marrero, but did not like to drive there… when I went, it had been open for one week and the whole wall freezer section was being caution taped because the freezers were out already… Then they only had one cashier open, and the line was pretty long. They finally had someone else come up there and open another register, the young man that checked me out, literally threw my stuff in a basket. This would not have been a big deal if he wouldn’t have thrown my yogurts and pineapple in the basket and threw stuff on top of it…finally when he was fixing to throw some Waterloo packs on top I stopped him and asked him to please stop throwing my stuff in the basket. He was gonna bust all the soft stuff he threw in first. The store really needs to have a self checkout registers like the Marrero store, so I can Place my stuff gently in the basket or in my cooler bag. Until that happens, I think I’ll just be going back to the Marrero store.
