They have fixed numerous pieces of gear for me over the years. They always do a great job communicating and their prices reflect the service, excellent. Beyond that they are funny folks and always got a smile for you. I love this place.

Do yourself a favor and call Wilson Audio instead. Here, you get dismissive service not even willing to talk through what you might be getting yourself into. I was asking just for a general high-low range estimate for a slow running turntable. He was either incapable or too lazy to say if he’s ever dealt with an issue like that in the “40 yEaRs I’Ve bEeN iN bUsInEsS” and refused to even entertain a guess. Not a quote or anything, just what the best or worst case scenarios could be. Wilson Audio was MUCH more receptive to talking through the potential issues at hand and give a range. Glad I read all the other bad reviews to avoid walking into the same mistake.

Have you ever come here to repair Amplifier or speakers . I have been here 5 times for repair but lost money and my amplifier and speakers damaged more. This guy specializes in deceiving, cheating, and replacing your clothes.

Tom is great. I take all my vintage equipment here from New Orleans and have never had a problem with parts or prices. My Pioneer SA-9800 runs and sounds new. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend as they are sort of the only game in town.

Called and talked to Tom about a potential repair on my Fishman mini acoustic amp. I mentioned to him to please let me know what the anticipated cost estimate would be in case I decided to just purchase one new for $300. I had read previous reviews so I was hesitant and made a point to mention this to him. He assured me that he wouldn't be in business for 30 years if he didn't know the drill.Next time I hear from him, the amp is all fixed and the price is $235, less the $35 "deposit" which I paid to drop it off. I'd have rather bought a brand new amp for $65 more dollars and he never gave me the option to do this after promising he would.Pam played d*** in the shop and said he never gives out estimates and she was sure of what he told me. So now they get this 1 star review. I wanted to like them but I thought this was unprofessional and very overpriced repair relative to the value of the amp. A repair should not be well over half the value of a used piece of equipment... its as if he charged me the absolute most he knew he could get out of me while holding my amp hostage. Will not be back.

Helped me figure out what was wrong with my technics 1210 turntable. If you are in need of turntable repairs, this is the place. They charged me half the cost of another place in Metairie. Cash only. Highly recommend.

AMAZING. Thank you so much. Called looking for help getting a tuner set up that had been in storage. He talked me through the potential causes and offered suggestions. He let me know what the charge would be if I couldn’t get it working. I tried his suggestions and perfecto. It works. He didn’t make a dime from me but his help was priceless. Awesome service. Thank you Thank you. Thank you 10 stars would not be enough

(Last chance gas and repair) don’t get desperate for quality here Tom says he’s a certified Harman Kardon technician but can’t find the parts and returns it the same way you brought it in but with $140 bill .he also sells used equipment that is not worth anything ,cash only no warranty ,no returns.no help.not professional.

Brought a tube amp in here for repair of a consistent hum. It was there for a month before I had to call to see the status. I ended up picking it up, to find the issue was not corrected but I did have to pay $200 for replacement parts and service. Not only that but upon inspection of the amp I found the reverb unit was completely broken (it was not before the first repair). I then took it back and found out he was unable to repair it and recommended a complete tank replacement. So now I have to purchase a new reverb tank and bring to another tech with likely total repair costs exceeding the price of the amp. Unfortunate.

Criminals. I hope this shop is shut down. They robbed my neighbor now. Told them they would fix an item and then called a week later with a bogus amount of money and made up repairs. they should be out out of briskness. Anyone who reads this put in a BBB report about your experience.

They do good work. And they're local. They will ask for a $30 cash deposit per item, which is fair. But so far, they've always fixed my old audio equipment.
