As a first time homebuyer, purchasing a home can be a daunting task. I am glad that I chose Gulf Coast Bank & Trust and worked with Amanda Germany and her team there to get everything ready for the sale. Amanda was always there, from the beginning, ready to answer any question I had and spent a lot of time going over all aspects of the purchasing process and everything I needed to know in order to make things go smoother.If I had any questions, she and her team were just a quick phone call, text, or email away, and they answered quickly with what I needed to know. I have always heard about how stressful the entire process could be, but I can honestly say that I found the process easy and mostly stress free. Their system is set up to allow you to get everything submitted to them efficiently and we were able to get to the closing without me pulling any of my hair out.I will definitely recommend Amanda Germany and her team at Gulf Coast Bank & Trust to anyone looking for a home loan and I would absolutely do business with them in the future. There's not much more I can say about them other than I enjoyed doing business with them and that they were wonderful to work with.

****BEWARE THEY HAVE STICKY FINGERS WITH AUTO PAY EVEN AFTER PAYING OFF YOUR LOAN****Started doing business with KLC Financial (acquired by Gulf Coast in Aug 2022) in 2021. Made on time payments every single month through auto pay on three different loans for equipment. I decided to pay all three loans in full this month (December 2022). I contacted KLC on 12/8/22 for pay offs and to CEASE ALL AUTO PAYMENTS - it took one business day to receive and they were wrong. Had to send back and got the correct pay offs and they confirmed receipt of ceasing auto payments. Payoffs were good through 12/15/22 when I wired funds (plus $35 wire fee for EACH loan. I emailed them and their Contract Care department to advise of the wires on 12/15/22 and the next day they confirmed receipt and processing of the lien releases.To my surprise, KLC auto debited my account on 12/21/22 for one account, twice on 12/22/22 for the other two accounts (which then overdrew my account and charged three NSF fees). My bank called me on 12/23/22 to advise that I was overdrawn and needed to settle up the account asap! Obviously I immediately contacted KLC Financial, specifically Randy Petersen and another associate Josephine Henn (who provided me the payoffs and confirmation of stopping auto payments - she was out enjoying vacation while I've been doled a HUGE mess)! Randy asked for screenshots of the transactions which I provided and said they would "make it right" and continually advised me they were "working on it." I communicated back to my bank that KLC was unauthorized to take those funds as the three loans were satisfied on 12/15/22 in accordance with the pay off requests. I assured my bank that based on my conversations with KLC that my account would be credited to satisfy the deficit. To my dissatisfaction and horror after dealing with KLC while I was on vacation (this was Friday, 12/23/22) just before Christmas for about SEVEN hours, nothing was accomplished, no money was returned and I was left humiliated tarnished my reputation at the bank I had belonged to since 2008. I was assured KLC was working on it but to no avail nothing was done. I asked the matter to be escalated and Randy's boss (Jesse) contacted as well while he was on vacation to deliver the disgraceful news that they were unable to get a wire or ACH to me that day (Friday - obviously...it was 2 hours beyond bank hours) but Jesse Sorenson assured me that unfortunately they could not to anything on Monday (Christmas observance) but Tuesday the funds would be returned. Great! The obvious situation I wanted to avoid and NOT experience by emailing and asking for auto payments to cease and providing a payoff and in good faith paid three loans totaling approx $150,000 in full all to increase the stress and anxiety of a Christmas season on the phone, emailing and texting and taking away my time from my family as we were traveling on vacation!So today is Tuesday, 12/27/22. Expecting to hear some great news from KLC but nothing so I reached out to them after seeing and confirming still nothing processed to my bank to satisfy the deficiency. My reputation done for at my bank they wanted confirmation of the funds since I failed to deliver on that prior Friday (based on the info I received from KLC "working on it").I reached out to Randy Petersen et al at KLC and to unbelievably, I was advised they needed a transaction history report from my bank and that all those seven hours on Friday previous, I had wasted (mind you on vacation and traveling)! They had tested my patience to the upmost threshold and I asked for upper management to contact me immediately by phone again as I was not putting up with any more circus games nor about to put up with another seven hours of playing ping pong back and forth! Of course no one in upper management is available but I get the accounting person Nicole who calls to talk to me about these additional documents they "needed." In my best composure, I nicely explained the circus games I've played to this point
