Took a pair of very special shoes there to be worked on . Had my shoes 3 months. I called today for 5th time to see what going on. Shoes still not worked on. In fact the toe part is completely ripped from sole of shoe. They were wearable when I dropped them off. Now they are in far worse condition. I have wasted my time and money dealing with perrones. Never again. Will highly not recommen never It is what it is folks.

We went this afternoon to have my daughter fitted for her 2nd pair of pointe shoes. The staffed took their time and tried on at least 10 different pair and styles to find the perfect fit. We left with a better fitting pair than her 1st pair (bought at a different dance store). It's great to have someone listen and take the time to find the perfect fit.

My experience was great with Perron's . They are a family with deep roots in Hammond. As a child, I remember Perron's in Channel Shopping Center. Although now they are a more specialized shoe store, which does repairs( sent off premises), They stretched a pair of loafers for me . I enjoyed talking w the current manager, reminiscing about the past. Great service, and I like to support local businesses.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I purchased my daughter's pointe shoes from Heather the owner back in December. She was fitted and when my daughter wore them once, she noted they were too loose. I have tried to return them and owner Heather states she will not be able to sell them so I understand. But she told me she will order the correct Nickolay shoes for my daughter & give me a $10 discount and took back the pointe shoes that did not fit. Months later she STILL has the pair I paid over $100 for and has not bothered to return any of my calls and I have no shoes to show for my $$. Next time SKIP going here and go to Metairie for pointe shoes. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and poor selection of pointe ballet shoes. Don't waste your time here, unless you need infant shoe wear. NOT POINTE SHOES! Update: she called and states it is NOT her job to give me any updates or call me on the status of my daughter's shoes that are on back order from Russia when I was told it should take 2 weeks to have her shoes in. She is so unprofessional as a business owner and I am taking my business elsewhere even with a $100 loss. Done here..... BEWARE!

In response to Santiago.... Perrone's would like to Thank you for one star too many ... This review consists of "alternative facts "that have been manipulated by the customer. You purchased a pointe shoe in December followed by a complaint in February of the shoe being too soft. It is not uncommon for a beginner pointe dancer to change the style & brand of shoe as she progresses. With all due respect, she wore the shoe 3 months. Pointe shoes do not come with a free replacement warranty. You stated on the phone your daughter was a hard to please teenager and she was being difficult. I explained to you that was not necessarily the case because she is the only one that can determine what she needs in pointe shoe. We agreed to order the smart pointe that you would purchase upon arrival for $89. The POINTE shoes are NOT on back order. INCORRECT!! You ARE well aware the shoe you prefer is shipped from RUSSIA. Russia invaded the UKRAINE 3 days after your custom order was placed. The irony of this post is while you were falsifying your horrible experience; I found and purchased (retail $108 plus shipping) the only Nikolay Smart pointe 6 1/2 xxxx ,medium shank that I could find online. I was sympathetic to fact you work out of town and do not have time to shop. I have exceeded all unrealistic expectations in this event. Unfortunately, I ordered and paid for your shoe before my employee texted me your review. You insisted on leaving your worn pointe shoe with my employee and now claim you have nothing to show for the $100 spent. It's still here waiting to be picked up. Your false statements are not protected under free speech. I assume that is the reason you posted under an alias name Mrs. SANTIAGO from San Francisco. Own your review!! I TAKE personal OFFENSE to your lies but will not hold it against your daughter if you cannot find this pointe shoe elsewhere. It will not be a discounted price. You're more than welcome to purchase the pointe shoe I ordered yesterday for $108 plus shipping. Good day!!!

Love..... the mom and pop feel of the store. Ms Heather went above service. It was 4:04p when I called to see what time the store close on Saturday (4:00). She said "we are closed, but come on I will wait for you". I was so happy because it was last minute and my daughter really needed a dance outfit for Sunday. She is absolutely a very generous person. Perrone's everyone should should shop there. Ten....... ?

Disappointed about shoe repair which actually this business doesn't offer. Staff waits for sufficient number of shoes to come in before sending out to repair. Turn around would have been a month for gluing soles. Instead drove through hideous traffic to Mandeville to tip tap toe shoe repair shop. 20$ to glue 2 soles with no guarantee. Times have changed.

Ms. Brenda was so helpful. Even on a busy day, she recognized each child's person-hood. She made them feel special and made sure they had the right fit without rushing the customer. She was honest and made sure that when we bought our shoes they were the right ones for our feet without pressuring us to buy something that wasn't a good fit. She was willing to listen to my 5 year old and even was able to stretch the already wide width shoes for her wide toe box just so she would be comfortable. Great service, and the prices for dance shoes were very competitive with the big box stores

Disappointed... was told over the phone that they could fix my boots a certain way, get to the store with my boots and was told all they could do is replace the sole. I pay 200.00 for the boots I wear because of the sole, I don't want it replaced. I want it cut into a defined heal. And you'd say buy defined heal... problem solved well they don't carry my size in defined heal.
