They were amazing! I had been to several other dealerships so by the time I got to Ross Downing I was over the whole process until I met Roland! Him and Philip (finance) were so helpful and sweet! I highly recommend going to see them if you're in the market.

My salesman was awesome, he always make sure I'm accommodated in making my purchase. He went up and beyond. I pick one unit, but he had two for me to choose from. No pressure at all, but very professional.

I’m from Idaho— just purchased my car in June! Just had my first oil change in Idaho before I came on a long driving vacation— to Branson Missouri— to Lake Wylie SC— to my Moms in Albany-Hammond! Almost 5,000 miles!I knew I needed to get my oil changed before I started on the 2100 mile trip back to Idaho!Called and the lady on the phone was so very accommodating— early morning any day and she got me right in!!I feel so good knowing that there was a certified service place — that I can go back to Idaho and let them know— I didn’t have to have just anyone service my new Acadia!Thanks to all the very nice people at Ross Downing GMC!

I purchased a 2023 GMC Yukon from this place. I had been in communication with a person in sales from the time I saw it in-transit until the day it was delivered to the dealership. When I got the call it was there, I left work to go look at it. I test drove the truck and loved it. I had a trade-in; a 2017 GMC Yukon that was still in very good condition and had under 100k in mileage. It had a little ticking noise, but still ran like a top. I had a reputable mechanic shop assess the problem. They told me that it was a minor issue with a broken bolt that could cost a few hundred bucks to get fixed, but they wouldn't suggest that if I was trading it in. So I went to both Gerry Lane and All Star and were given GREAT trade-in offers. But, Ross Downing Buick GMC Hammond gave me an extremely low quote about 5 thousand less. They said the noise was an engine problem. I explained to them that I had the vehicle looked at and had been give better offers with the noise. My husband told me not to trade it. I wish I had just gotten it fixed before. This dealership had the vehicle I wanted so I sacrificed my trade-in to get it. (a few days later, my trade was listed on their website for 30k - so much for the 4-7k of engine work, huh?). I live in another city (Port Allen) so I left the vehicle there so it can have done whatever is done when it comes off the truck. I was in communication with everyone involved (sales, finance, and service). When my vehicle was delivered to me, it was missing wheel lock for the rims that I specifically called about. They overnighted it to me. I called a number of times about warranties before I got the information on those. I have had questions and concerns that wouldn't be address for weeks at a time. I had issues with my license plate and didn't get it almost until my temp tag expired. I had issues with my registration. My bank was threatening to void my extremely low interest rate if I didn't get the registration fixed. I started feeling like the guy I was dealing with was doing these things on purpose?? But I can say that Sandra Green and another lady that deals with the license plates were VERY helpful and proactive in helping resolve the problem. Another issue I had was even though I was offered accessories, I never received not one. And, I am okay with that. But in the mist of me looking over the accessories they offer, I ran across a "Yukon" sun shade that I love because it matches my truck. So, I called about PURCHASING IT. Not a freebie, but a purchase. I got nothing but the run around, AGAIN. So, I didn't bother with it anymore. I figured I would check a local GMC dealer. So a couple of months has passed, and last week my salesperson texted to check in with me. So, I called her to let her know that my vehicle has no washer fluid and express my concern about the other fluids in the vehicle and how it works when it comes straight off the truck. I also informed her that I wanted to purchase the sun shade. She said someone in service would give me a call. It's Monday of the following week and still no call. I'm not at all surprised. I just hope my truck was serviced they way it was supposed to before they brought it to me because they were trying to send me off in it before it was even serviced. So with all that said, I will never purchase from this dealer again. I don't care if they are the only one with the vehicle I want. I will sacrifice something in the new vehicle next time. The worst dealer I have dealt with all around. And, I am sure I am forgetting something. Save your time and go to Gerry Lane or All Star. I wish I had!

Everyone was very helpful & transparent about repairing our vehicle. Kassidy was my CS person & kept me updated step by step. I was especially grateful that she provided a loaner vehicle so that I could get to work.

I bought two pickups from Ross Downey GMC 2019 Dodge, which I was told was in no accidents.. but there was two different colors of black paint.. but it drove like a new truck. Ended up trading it in at same place. When I went in to trade in the truck found my new truck and it was missing a key fob. They told me to bring it back in on a Thursday brought it in on Thursday they said the guy wasn't there that day to go ahead and set an appointment so I did. Went back for appointment Guy said he didn't have the right key fob he would have to order it. I set the appointment seems like he would have had the right key fob??? Said he would call me when he got it in. Never called! So lost my keys this morning, called the dealership to ask about the key fob. Said the salesman no longer works there and gave me the runaround bad business I won't be going back when I trade this truck in

We test drove a car that we wanted. It had maintenance tire light on the dash trash control, light on the dash and a noise coming from under the car. The car drove fine, but I pointed my concerns out to my salesmen Kenneth. I was told by Kenneth the car would be sent to infinity to be diagnosed and fixed. Those two things, the maintenance tire light and traction control light and clunking noise, which turned out to be sway bar links. Infinity gives me a list full of things that need to be done to the car after they had supposedly done all of these things. Ross Downing says they will only put a new battery in the car they don’t approve anything else. I was told my car was ready to be picked up even though these things weren’t fixed. I’ve been reaching out to Seth, Still no call back. The maintenance tire light, traction, control, light and sway bar link noise is still there. I understand buying any used car is a risk, but when the safety of the car is compromised, especially selling to a mother of a new born you would think there would be some decency. Don’t say you’re going to fix it just to make the sale and then not fix the car. Once again, another bad experience at a dealership my fourth time buying a car. The first time being the best. I do get that business is business but good business is good business and bad business is bad business.

My service advisor Kassidy had my truck checked in a looked at extremely fast and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Once my truck was complete the technician had a very detailed story on my copy of the repair order as to what the issue was and how it was corrected which was great! I will continue to recommend all my family and friends to Ross Downing Buick GMC Cadillac great overall experience as usual!

If you want to pay almost $4,000 for your taillight and a/c to be fixed then definitely go here! I was told that the whole assembly was to be replaced on one of my taillights when in fact it was not. I was told that my brakes were replaced when they in fact were not. My car sounds 10x worse than when I had taken it to them. There were other concerns about my vehicle that I had addressed to them and they said they had fixed the issue; the issue on my car is still happening. I brought my car back for a 2nd time to get it looked at once again and the mechanics claimed my car was doing good and they drove it around Hammond. They also kept my car over the weekend without notifying me. When I picked up my car, I still had the same mileage from when I dropped it off the second time and my fuel gauge was still at half tank. I am active duty army stationed in Georgia, I had to get my husband to tow my car back because I was scared that my car might break down on me with my newborn and 3 year old in the car. I feel like I was completely robbed and now I still don’t have a reliable car. I only wanted this car fixed because my daughters love this car and I can only financially afford it.

Our service representative, Cassidy, kept us abreast of the repairs needed, timing and expected out-of-pocket costs. On top of that she worked to get it all covered under the extended warranty. And she was super friendly! She did an awesome job!!!

My appt was set for Wednesday bc they needed to order the tire but said drop it off today(Monday) just in case we get it in today if not it will be here Wednesday due to the holiday. But to my surprise I received a call a few hours after dropping it off with them saying they found a tire at the Chevy location so they were able to get my tire changed out pretty quick. I was extremely please with the fast service and I’m glad Samantha checked the other dealership for a tire instead of waiting for mine to arrive.

I initially came to Ross Downing to test drive a vehicle for comparison purposes because I was actually looking at a ZR2. I ended up loving the GMC AT4X but it was the combination of my salesman, Austin, and the Sales Manager, Jay, that convinced me to buy from Ross Downing. The whole experience was low pressure and I appreciated that the sales manager didn't play games with the price. We discussed what I wanted for my trade and what I was willing to pay for the new vehicle, he was honest about what the dealership could offer and the sale was made. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and will definitely recommend Ross Downing and my sales team to family and friends.
