We are having the worst issue with our mail delivery. Does the US Postal Service not deliver during the weekday? They skipped two days just this week. We have had mail ready to go out, and they do not pick it up. When we called the post office, we were told they will only pick up when they have something to deliver. Well, that is not accurate. According to Post Office Delivery we were due to receive an important piece of mail on Thursday. They did not deliver mail on Thursday. It is now Saturday, and I still have not received the letter. Calling the Post Office is a tremendous waste of time. So frustrated!

USPS is a FLAMING DUMPSTER fire!!! Their tracking system, employees, and customer service should all be thrown in the trash and start from scratch. There is a reason that the private sector is superior at the parcel service.

I put a hold on my mail, they ignored it delivering expensive jewelry. I called the main number and they sent a message to Hammond saying retrieve the package and put the rest on hold. 4 days later and they are still delivering and now FOUR packages totaling over 10k in jewelry have been delivered. Main number contacted them again and they have ignored the request totally!! They better not be missing when I get home!!!!!

Pathetic place. Pathetic employees should all be fired. Seemed racist as well. My package was supposed to be sent to my home 2 times and it hasn't shown up it's a $3000 custom pendant so I assume they stole it whole place needs shut down

My renters mailed me a money order 9 days ago. It still hasn’t arrived, the mail is only traveling 20 miles, but they can’t find it. This isn’t my first issue with the Hammond, La. Post Office. This needs to be stopped, if these people can’t do their simple little job, they should all be replaced.

So originally I left one star, but as of 6/10/22 I've absolutely had enough.We had a package stolen out of our mail box, we believe (as it says delivered but we never got it.)The post office delivery driver keeps consistently leaving our mailbox WIDE OPEN. This is absolutely disrespectful and dangerous. Our mail is at risk of weather and thieves all because this woman can't close a mail box? amazing.And yes, we watched her (black, female) just leave it wide open.In the past we've even had some political mail crumpled and crunched, though I think it was a different driver doing that.We have never had an altercations or issues with these drivers, so why they are intentionally messing with our mail/mailbox, I don't understand.

Clerk 77 was rude, dismissive, and rushed my whole transaction. I was still taping my packaging slip when she called the next customer. Lazy and needs to be retrained!

Great post office services. I was able to track packages and mail through this branch and shipping was a breeze. I also was able to apply for a passport through this location.

I was waiting on a package. Tracking showed that it was delivered today. I was outside when they pulled up to my mailbox and I immediately walked out to retrieve my mail. The package was not in there so I started calling the PO immediately. No answer. I called back to back for over 2 hours, hoping they would get in touch with the mail carrier so she could back up and see where she delivered my package quickly. Still calling, & still no answer! This is not the 1st time I've had issues with Hammond Post Office.

I am a small local business that repair dirtbikes and atvs.I had 3 packages in a total value of $250. They were prepaid labels. They took the package from me and told me I was free to leave. Foolish of me I didn’t think about the return shipping number/ receipt. I went back and they told me they were scanned already and I could wait for them to rescan and then give me a receipt for the return. Just as proof because this is merchandise that someone paid for. Usually I never have a problem but now I am having a very big problem.The 3 packages are “lost” and because the merchandise was paid through eBay the buyer has requested for his money back. I have lost money in my pocket and I have 3 missing packages. Terrible service. When I try to call they never answer. I will be going back today to resolve this mess. But I’ll just leave this here for anyone that has a prepaid label and doesn’t get a receipt for tracking.

I picked up a couple of large boxes today from the Hammond, LA post office and very nice man who works behind the counter carried them out to my car which was parked across and down the street from the post office.
