“Used appliances are a tricky bunch. I've bought NEW and OLD and if I can get 5 years from either one -- great.
Hopefully $350 for a used washer here (that is probably 5 years old) will last another 5 years (***only got it 8 months). The new one I had lasted 3-5 years (for $550) and decided to use this one from Bonneval. He gave me a 3 month warranty, BUT if it fails, I have to bring it back.
So the people who have had issues (1-star reviews), I think bringing it back totally stinks but that might be the wiser of options rather than relying on them sending a tech. Again, these are USED appliances that broke/wore out early in its career.
***After 8 months:
a) I've replaced water inlet valve ($25 part) after 3-4 months b/c it was leaking very slowly (worn gasket).
b) Then 4 months later, it didn't spin dry well (Jan 2026). So I checked at the bottom, and found a broken speed sensor ($15) and worn washer belt ($25) that lost about 30% of the material. (Thank God for YouTube bc it took me 5 minutes to figure out speed sensor and another 15 minutes to put on the new belt later.)
c) A week later, the tenant said it magically turned on in the middle of the night (Jan 2026). I googled that: it can be fixed by: resetting it (which I did the week before), finding a fried capacitor (few dollars), or changing out the entire board ($100-300)...I decided to get another washer for the time being.
I think it washes still but didn't want to troubleshoot the electric issue on a re-USED washer -- that has been repaired by them & then by me, twice. 3rd time by me? I'm gonna think about it. I could bring it in and they fix it for $100 or $300 but it's based on the issue. That means I have to unload, move, and bring it in. The most difficult? My house has 6 steps and it's heavy enough to make it feel like I am scaling the Himalayas w/ those 6 steps.”

“The Home Depot at 8601 W Judge Perez Dr in Chalmette, LA, has a lot to offer, especially with their pre-Christmas deals. I picked up some LED smart home lights for just $5 each, definitely a bargain!
Their tool selection is solid, although a few items didn’t stand out to me. One area of disappointment was their chainsaw selection, which was almost identical to Lowe’s. I’m not a fan of the market’s growing shift towards electric saws. Maybe I’m a bit old-fashioned, but I prefer shop tools that plug into the wall and outdoor tools that run on gas. Gas-powered tools remain more reliable in emergencies, like during power outages.
I had an interesting conversation with another customer about how electric chainsaws are reportedly causing safety concerns with chainsaw chaps failing—something worth noting if you’re shopping for one.
The staff was a mixed bag. While I found most employees distracted or unavailable, the cashier stood out for their friendliness and patience while helping me with my veteran discount. That level of service left a positive impression. Overall, it was a good visit, and I’d recommend this location for the deals and convenience.”

“I visited Ferguson Plumbing. If you need supplies that you can't find at the "Big Box" stores, this is the place to go. If they don't have what you need, they will order it, through their national network, and have it at the counter in as little as 24 hours. Free popcorn, water and sodas as well!”
“Plenty of associates ready to help. Large selection of plants, flowers, yard care, and decorations. The line still backed up due to not many people going to self checkout. Turns out alot of people had items without barcodes and had to be keyed in. *Still Recommended”

Nobody had anything in stock, everything “has to be ordered”. Then found Barto’s. The only place with actual specialists who can answer questions other than price or delivery. They can tell you brands for whatever feature you are looking for, make recommendations that really provide confidence in your purchase. Then the delivery and installation was so fast! I knew before I left the store when the appliances would arrive. And they were right on time. Calvin and his assistant were the ultimate professionals. Planned out how to move refrigerator in and out past walls and furniture.without a ding or scratch. This company is the absolute best for professionalism and personal care.”

I called and they came on my next day off to check it out- I couldn't believe it but they actually took the broken machine back and brought me a different, working machine! I was really worried after reading the negative reviews on here but these guys have been in business since 1999, so honestly a couple of bad reviews probably doesn't represent their hundreds (or more) of satisfied customers. “I went to the Best Buy in Harahan to buy a camera tripod, and Selwin Moore is the reason the trip was worth it.
He came over fast, asked what I was using the tripod for, and helped me pick the right one without trying to upsell me. He broke down what actually matters—stability, height, and how it will work with the way I’m filming—so I wasn’t guessing or wasting money.
He also took extra time to show me how to check pricing and use Best Buy’s price match guarantee so I could make sure I was getting the best deal. That’s rare, and it says a lot about his character.

Thanks guys great experience. Their really isn't overnight parking but a gentleman pulled up last night and said that normally the trucks park either in the lot in front of the docks or on the side of the street on what looked to me to be a perfectly placed and sized parking spot completely off the street.”
