“This is a locally owned family business which has served west bankers for years. They have pretty much everything you need in order to grow roses, lots of other flowers, vegetables and herbs. Oh, and don't forget, trees suitable for transplanting into your yard. My favorite item: a fine selection of roses every spring, including many classic and new hybrid teas. They also have bedding plants (vegetables, flowers, herbs), seeds, and all the miscellaneous garden stuff - everything from manure to assorted organic and not so organic fungicides and bug sprays. Plus, the owner and many staff members are knowledgeable about local gardening and can give hints.”

“Sometimes I walk there and take a car back or visa-versa. Today I took a car there & back. I spent $60 and it was worth it. 4 plants, big bag of charcoal for my terrariums, other stuff. I love Mister Mike and everyone who works there. Cannot say enough good stuff, the great plants they have and all those nice people who work there. I had first discovered the Rose Garden and Pet on Lapalco and somehow figured out there's one even closer to me in Harvey--this one. I also love the Lapalco one. I try to go at least every 3/4/5 weeks, something like that, and I ALWAYS BUY GREAT STUFF!!”

“I can't say enough how happy I am with this place. They took the time to talk to me about what kind of garden I wanted, showed me plants, and made a drawing for me. They even went so far as to help me get my soil right. The high clay content in my soil evidently was why I had such bad luck with plants in the past. At least now I only have to choose a few flowers to brighten things up in the spring and in the winter my garden will not look like a wasteland. Shop local! You won't get this kind of service at a box store!”

“I ordered a Christmas tree from Banting's after seeing an ad online! I usually use a fake tree but wanted to try this! We ordered a 7'-8' tree, it came with FREE delivery and a tree stand!! The day after I placed the order, I was contacted about the delivery date. The tree was delivered today! The person delivering it gave me a call when he was about 30 mins out and when he arrived. He brought the tree in, set it up in the tree stand and took the netting off. He also gave me some pointers on how to keep it lasting longer and looking great! The customer service all around was fantastic and the tree is beautiful! I also felt that the price of the tree, especially considering delivery and tree stand was very reasonable.”

Susan was extremely accommodating and understanding to our needs, and perfectly executed my vision, going above and beyond my expectations. “I love this Home Depot. If you're wanting expert opinions about a project you're working on or even tools in the store, tbh you're likely looking in the wrong place. But the staff here has been phenomenal! I grew up in the East and recently moved back, so with all the projects I've taken on at home, I've been coming here so often that it has felt like I've lived here part time. When I come in, I am often greeted at the door by security or staff and the people are super nice and helpful! Tam on the paint center, Henry in the lumber section, and especially Adrian (he seems to be everywhere and know everything). Adrian in particular and the other staff have been so kind to my young children when we've come in the store, even my kids like going to HD and remember the workers! The store is always well stocked, too. I'm glad this HD is in NOE and while lots of businesses are leaving and unsustainable amidst the rising crime and declining NOE economy, I hope this store is here to stay.”
