BEWARE!!! This place is HORRIBLE!!! I called and made an appointment with DeAnna (their new receptionist) to get my dog a heart worm shot. She asked me if I wanted the 6 month or the 1 year shot. She informed me that the 6-month shot cost is $85 and the one-year shot was $165. I explained to her that I wanted the six-month shot due to cost. She made the appointment, and I asked her if it would be okay to send my daughter with the dog to get the shot. She said no problem. My daughter took the dog for the appointment, and they gave her the one-year shot because that was in the computer. The receptionist made a mistake when she entered it, and they didn't call to confirm. She called me to collect payment and told me how much it was. I asked what it was for. She says for the one-year shot. I told her I did not want that to which she replied, "Oh, well we have already done it." I explained I would be happy to pay the $85 charge that I asked for. They denied my payment. I asked to speak to a manager and got the same response from the next person I spoke to. I then asked to speak with Dr. Brown and was told that she was busy and could not speak to me. I told my daughter to take our dog and go home. The next day they called the Bossier Parish Police Department and tried to accuse me of "stealing" from them. The officer showed up my house, which scared my daughter, then called me. I was not home and spoke to him over the phone. The officer told me they told him that I "refused to pay." Which was a total LIE!!!! The officer went back and talked to them after leaving my home. They called me to accept payment and tried to then change the price AGAIN!!!! Saying that because my dog weighed over a certain amount that there was an additional $10 charge. After all was said and done, they FINALLY agreed to take the $85 payment and settle this dispute. The officer waited in their office until payment was received then called me to explain that everything was settled. WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS!!! I WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN!!!! DISGUSTING BY ALL INVOLVED!!!

When I first glanced at the reviews for Petcare Animal Hospital in Haughton I noticed a few bad reviews which I thought impossible. I quickly realized the bad reviews were left for the previous owner - Dr Bauer, which I agree with all of the bad reviews for her. However, since Dr Liz Brown bought and operates this clinic the professionalism and quality of care are off the charts. Dr Liz is by far the absolute best vet that I've ever had the pleasure to work with. She is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and caring. Additionally, she has assembled an allstar staff. I would not even consider going anywhere else. It's comforting to know that your pet is seeing the very best.

Petcare is no longer owned nor operated by Dr. Bauer. Dr. Liz Brown is the owner and Veterinarian now and she is wonderful. She truly cares for our furry family members.

I am new to the area. The veterinarian here is a scam artist. I was given a quote and they charged me $63 over what they quoted me by phone. I was also told that the heart worm vaccine was required by law, and it was confirmed by two other vets that the rabies shot is the only vaccine required by law. I left this office so irritated that I was lied to.
