Don't recall the week day I was there getting prices for a small dog under 10 pounds. Anyway the grooming shop was completely empty literally no groomers. I did talk to a groomer who was working in the store area and their prices are outrageous ridiculous. This was my last resource because I hate corporate grooming companies. I was lucky enough to find a private groomer who did an amazing groom on my fur baby. He received a full groom from head to tail with nail trim for only $50. She did such an amazing job so she was given a good tip. Petsmart grooming prices are priced to high and then they have add on pack which is what your pet should be getting groomed with to start with. Save your money and find a private groomer..NOT HAPPY WITH THE PRICE QUOTE

I went into this store expecting to simply buy some a filter and filler cartridges for my betta tank that I am planning on setting up tonight. However, I did not expect the amount of dead betta fish that were left in their cups. I am not trying to be graphic, but many of the dead fish were growing water molds. I had enough as soon as I saw the first fish with water mold, and went to the first employee that I saw. I let her know that there were many dead bettas sitting on the shelves. She apologized, rushed over to the stand after finishing with a previous customer, and began checking on the fish. I showed her the various fish that were already deceased and many of those that seemed to be sick. She informed me that they had a water change last night, but many of the fish that were alive and well had an extreme amount of fecal matter and dirt floating around in their cups. She took away the deceased fish to the back. That is when I noticed an extremely thin leopard gecko sitting in the corner, seemingly hiding from its tank mate. You could see that the gecko had absolutely no color and its tail was so thin that you could see its vertebrae. I informed the same employee as before that there was a sickly looking gecko in the enclosure, and she informed another employee that she would need to take that gecko into the back and to the veterinarian. That employee (in a blue shirt whereas the helpful one was in a grey shirt) told us that the gecko was fine. It obviously was not, and the employee in the grey shirt told her as such. My friends and I stuck around to ensure that the sickly gecko was taken into the back area of the store. My friend was walking around to look at the other fish towards the left side of the store, and witnessed the two employees that we spoke with arguing about why the gecko had to be taken to the back and checked on. The blue-shirted employee took the gecko to the back with her bare hands. My friends and I were in absolute shock. The other reptiles seemed to be thriving, and the reason why the gecko was so bad was seemingly because it was cohabitating with a gecko that was super healthy and had a decent amount of fat on its tail.

I was a witness to seeing management completely try to rob this woman out of $100 for a dog that was “groomed”. If you want your dog shaved bald, and cut up by the clippers, and given back to you bleeding, bring your dog here.Obviously the staff that runs this place are careless, rude and selfish. They should be sued for every careless nick on that dogs body. Makes me sick seeing the blood on the owners shirt and makes me wonder how they treat their animals behind closed doors!

Do NOT bring your babies here for grooming. They lie about the prices they are charging, hack up dogs fur, as well as cause injuries. Stay AWAY from the groomers here.

Never again! My wife brought Sophie to PetSmart, the clerk gave her a basic price of $52. She told my wife that they would need to cut out the knots in her fur, she asked if that was an additional cost she was told that it was $40 but was included in the basic price of $52. They also said that Tuesday was Senior Citizen Day (10% discount). Later they called and said that Sophie was ready, my wife called back and they told her the cost would be $92 (WHAT!!). She spoke with the manager of the department and explained the situation, she said that nothing could be done and that was the cost. My wife then asked to speak with the store manager, she explained the situation and after going back and forth for quite some time the manager said that they would only charge $52 but that we could not bring Sophie back to Pet Smart in Houma. That should be the end of the story but no... My daughter picked up Sophie and was shocked when she saw her, her cut was patchy, she had blood spots on her skin, her tail was bald and the usual ribbon was not in her hair. Considering that they had spoken with my wife after they were finished I hope that they were not charging $92 for the messed up cut they gave Sophie but I also hope that they didn't decide to gouge her up after she complained about the amount they charged. Either way, we will NEVER bring her back to this butcher shop and strongly suggest that no one else bring their fur baby there. You have been warned.
