Inept staff cannot do their job properly and blame it on us when I found out they overcharged us.
My wife went there and asked for a priority mail envelope, which should cost $10.10, and the staff sold her 13 stamps totaling $10.30 as opposed to printing a prepaid shipping label and giving her a tracking number, which has been regularly done by other USPS branches in the past.
I went back to ask the USPS cashier if they told my wife that she was paying more than what it should cost. USPS told me that they told her “those stamps were all what they have because they didn’t have all the denominations”. “All what they have” does not convey the idea that the 13 stamps add up to a sum more than what it should be. It only means “instead of the one single stamp that’s designed for this purpose, I can offer you these smaller ones, which are of different art designs, so they do not satisfy your philately interest, and there are 13 stamps so it’s now cumbersome.”
I asked the USPS cashier again whether they told my wife that it was an overcharge so that she could make an informed decision, and they started complaining to their manager about me not letting it go for just 20 cents.
Yes, it’s 20 cents today, but this is obviously how they want to operate, so it’ll be overcharging 20 cents every one, every time.
Edited two days later: I just realized what they sold to us is worse than terrible. They sold us 10 forever stamps and 3 $1 stamps adding up to $10.30. They could've done 14 forever stamps totaling to $10.22, even cheaper. And if we decide to go to another post office to get the single stamp for priority mail, we could use the 14 forever stamps in the future for other letters. But now we are left with just 13 stamps good for a letter each. Yes, $1 is more than 73 cents, but how often do you need the extra 27 cents to cover anything extra? The extra ounce costs 28 cents, so even if that becomes a need of us, we would still need to go get a 1 cent stamp for it.
We end up with fewer usable things that cost more.

There are only a couple Rouses employees who operate the post office. They have no consistent schedule and close for breaks and lunch. Some days it's 12-1, some days 1-2, or somewhere in between.
