The owner, is a very reliable and trustworthy guy. He is no b.s., honestly and knows his business. Highly recommended.

Moving here a few years back, I had no clue where to take my MINI. I stumbled upon The MINI Shop and have never left. After 3 years, I've taken my MINI in for everything from oil change, alternator change to a new windshield. Marion is great, but what's even better is that he'll explain how to care for your car to prevent damage(s). I've never been disappointed leaving and don't see myself going anywhere else. I've been a MINI exclusive driver for a while and I intend to buy another MINI soon, mainly because I know there's a reliable mechanic to service it.

I reached out to Motorsport for Miatas by phone two and a half weeks ago about a repair I needed for my 2000 Mazda Miata. I asked for a quote on a Timing Belt / Water Pump Repair, and Marion told me to send an email with specific request and model information. I did in thorough detail that day. The next day, Marion replied with ""Got your email. i am short on time this afternoon so I will formulate a reply tomorrow and let you know what I suggest." I then heard nothing from Marion until two weeks later stating his shop was overwhelmed with technical projects. I find his etiquette unprofessional and would not recommend him to anyone. If you need your Miata serviced, I strongly recommend Gambino's Foreign Cars. They have treated me very fairly before Marion even responded.

I recently had Marion put tires on my BMW - a very tough install of run-flat low profile tires on 20" wheels. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He worked to my schedule, provides rapid and detailed communication, cleaned my vehicle and most importantly used care and years of knowledge to perfectly install my tires. If you have work you need to have done right with high confidence, I recommend Marion without reservation.

Go here if you want him to charge you $75 for diagnostics. Even if you didn't ask for any diagnostics. And just asked for simple maintenance.

Still a one star rating. I've go to the consumer protection bureau and filed a complaint. Also looking into legal action. Resubmitting this cause Yelp took down my previous review.

So kind and very speedy! Definitely beats driving to BR to the sub-par Mini dealership. Marion is the most prompt and upfront mechanic that I have ever worked with. He always does an excellent job keeping me apprised of the car situation by email. I always feel 100% at ease knowing he'll take the best care of my car.

This is an awesome place to get your Mini serviced! I didn't actually get the person's name but I am guessing it is Marion! He is truly focused on making your car work. He knows more about the Mini than most dealerships! Just moved here from California. My sweet little car sat on a transport truck in 100 plus degrees. The oil was super low- not sure why and my windsheiId wipers were melted. Marion just fixed it and told me to come back in a month to get a service. You bet I will be back over and over again while I own my cute little Mini! This place is absolutely the best! Honest, knowledgable and kind! THANKS!!! Would never have found him without YELP!!!

Marion is incredible. My car broke down on a Friday night before I was set to leave next day for an 8-hour drive north. He eased my panicky self and ensured he'd look at the car before he left Friday night. He made my car a priority the next morning, so I could get on the road on time. He knows Minis, and he is a WONDERFUL person to deal with during a car crisis. I cannot say enough positive things. If you have a Mini, GO HERE.

Can't say enough good things. I wrote a long detailed positive review last year but for some reason yelp didn't publish it. All I can say is if you have a mini and live in Nola and don't want to go to the dealer, this is the only place to go. Marion, the owner, is an honest, affordable, diligent, master mechanic who treats your car like it's his baby. I feel so lucky to have found his shop. Because it's just him, he's very, busy, so it might take a minute to get an appointment and the car might be there awhile but it's absolutely worth it.

I literally can't say enough good things about the service I received and the experience I had at The Mini Shop of New Orleans; I really can't. I wish every mini owner or every car owner really had a place they could trust to take their car that was equal to the quality of service I received from Marion, who owns and operates the Mini Shop. He's everything you would want the person working on your MINI to be: experienced, knowledgeable, honest and totally dedicated in solving whatever the problem is. He's like a real "journeyman" mechanic, a real craftsman and I feel very lucky that I found his shop. Plus his prices are 100% honest and fair. I have an '06 mini, that had a real tricky coolant loss issue, I won't even go into what other "reputable" mechanics who work on minis, who couldn't figure out the problem and just said I needed a new head gasket [I DIDN'T!!] wanted to charge me vs. what the Mini Shop actually did charge...OMG the difference!!! Oh and also when he's done he gives your baby a bath and cleans the engine, [I posted a pic] He even sends emails to see how your car is doing after the job is completed...um how many mechanics do that??!!! [ I will be posting this review on angies list too, just fyi]
