“I recently moved to the area from living in Jeff Davis parish for over 20 years and I have visited two dollar stores in Westlake one other in moss bluff and one on 171 going towards Gillis and this is the only one I choose to go to.Employees are very nice and not breathing down your neck watching every single move u make but are there to help if u need them without hesitation.The isles never ever have cases of boxes of product to be stocked stacked dangerously between isles like all the others do.Always well stocked and not ever picked over and tossed around looking.U don't have to stand and look all over to find a cashier and wait and wait to be checked out. Some of these I've been to a person would be able to just walk out with a buggy full of product and they would've never even seen u in the store or noticed that's how bad it is because they don't pay attention to their registers. Not all stores have self checkouts like they do and if they do it only takes cards most the time or is out of order. This crew needs to continue to do great work”

“Dollar General has always been that go‑to spot when life decides to cut up and you realize you’ve forgotten something important — like a gift bag for a birthday party you’re already late for, or the tissue you thought you had at home. And let me tell you, no matter what state I’m in, Dollar General shows up for me like a loyal cousin who never asks questions, just hands you what you need and lets you get on with your day.
I can walk in there with nothing but hope, a debit card, and a prayer, and somehow they always have exactly what I’m looking for. Whether it’s knickknacks, last‑minute must‑haves, or those “mandatory” items you didn’t know you needed until right that second, Dollar General stays ready. The aisles may be a little chaotic sometimes, but baby, so is life — and at least Dollar General helps you survive it with a smile.
This trip was no different. I ran in for something quick, and as usual, they came through without breaking my stride or my budget. Dollar General stays clutch, consistent, and always there when it counts. I’ll keep coming back.”

“The store does have a lot of stock. My only complaint is that the store manager/or lead for the day I went 8/17/25 around 9:45-10. A short lighter skin gentleman was VERY rude to the staff.. He was talking to one of the ladies in a nasty tone, even after she apologized. Immediately after he waked to the front and told the cashier whom name tagged stated “Kay” that he wanted to get rid of the other lady and he didn’t like her. He needs a proper training on management!”

“I go here for particular things. The selection of dog chews and treats is huge. This is the only place near me that has a decent selection of frozen quessadias and chimichangas. The paperwork section is large and a notebook or a planner doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's true that some items are overpriced. But there are bargains to be found if you look for them.”
“This location is on our daily commute route so we stop here frequently.. It is always clean and organized.. Employees always greet upon entering the store and make themselves available if assistance is needed... It is a smaller location but always has the items we quickly need...”

“This Dollar Tree is fully stocked!!! Even though it was Christmas Eve I found everything I needed and more. Shelves were less disheveled than I expected considering the holiday max last minute present dash and even at this late hour staff was friendly and energetic. I was very impressed.”
“I've shopped at this location quite a few times, and it’s always a pleasure to visit because of the friendly management and cashiers. I want to especially mention Marquetta, Kim, and Angel—they consistently go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service, which I truly appreciate. They warmly greet everyone, maintain a positive attitude, and are always ready to help. As a regular shopper who visits multiple Dollar Generals, I can honestly say this one has the best staff! I even overheard Marquetta ringing up several customers with such positive energy, always taking a moment to thank everyone she checked out. It really makes shopping here a wonderful experience.”

“They had the Softee hair products that I was looking for, even Walmart didn't have them. I would suggest U look inside before buying, though I returned one that looked used. The employee was nice enough to accept without arguing with me. I really had bought it in error anyway. The stores parking lot was not clean, trash was everywhere. Interior store was OK.”

“I had a really positive experience thanks to Tina. From the moment I walked in, she was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind. It’s not often you come across someone who takes the time to make customers feel welcome and valued, but Tina does exactly that.
She handled everything with professionalism while still being warm and personable, which made the whole interaction stand out. The way she treats people just feels genuine, and you don’t run into that very often anymore. It’s clear she takes pride in what she does, and it shows in how she treats people.
The store itself was also noticeably well-organized and well-stocked, which really set it apart from many other Dollar General locations I’ve been to.

“I have a completely different opinion after reading the reviews for this store. I stop by twice a week, and it’s an easy grab-and-go operation. They offer more products than you'd expect! I think some reviewers overlook how beneficial it is to have this store in its location. With just a few employees, who are constantly restocking shelves while also running the register, it's clear how much traffic and product move through those sliding doors daily. The staff never stops working—I've seen them breaking down boxes, restocking, cleaning, managing the register, and dealing with vendors all at once. I’ve visited many Dollar Stores, but I refuse to go to any other than this one. It’s clean, efficient, and saves me time. Thank you for all that you do!”
