We bought a chair from this location on September 25, and NOW it is falling apart. Ethan Venable was our sales rep. There is hardly no arm stuffing in the arms, so you feel nothing but wood (if that's what they put in it). There are bolts and clips that are falling out of it, the wood (????) for the frame is splitting, and there is a Facebook group of Dissatisfied customers of Lazy Boy. We have called the warranty company, and they have forwarded the repair to the repair company, and they are waiting for a call back from them. So they are like their name Lazy.

We went to the Lazy Boy store in Lake Charles to buy a couch for our new home. The day before delivery, we stopped by to confirm that our couch was being delivered in the morning "April 15th" as requested. They said that We told them the wrong date for delivery and it was going to be next week. They insisted that it was Our fault. As if we didn't know the day we would be moving into our new home!! They were absolutely dismissive about the mix up. Ii called back a week later to again confirm our delivery and the same woman was Very short with me and again, very dismissive. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this store due to their complete lack of concern for their customers.

My wife and I purchased furniture from the Lake Charles La-Z-Boy and had an enjoyable experience when buying. We definitely thought this was a precursor for things to come....... Wrong we were. Supplier chains have been an issue for many things in the world and our furniture did take forever to come in, but this is out of their control and I recognize that. What is in their control is the communication between receiving the furniture which was non-existent. How about service after the sell you ask???? Here is some more good news, after not having the furniture for less than a year we have a mechanical issue with the reclining section of the couch. It took multiple phone calls to figure out they won't repair here in Lake Charles... no no no... they don't tell you at the store your coverage applies only if you pack up your couch bring it to Houston for repairs or you can pay to have someone fix it in your home. I didn't know lazy boy meant for both the furniture and the dust covered red carpet service you get after the sell. Dont waisted your time calling the store the manager is never there and no one else knows what to do.

Purchased a recliner Thursday the 13th and was told delivery would take place a week later on the 20th. Took the day off and when I finally called to check they claimed it wasn’t scheduled for delivery but if I wanted to wait another week they could schedule. I said that was not satisfactory and was told basically to take it or leave it. My words not theirs. Customer service wasn’t any help either so I cancelled the $3109 purchase and they acted like “ho cares”. If looking for good competent service go somewhere else.

I wanted to say what a fabulous employee Nathan is.. We are from West Virginia and looking to buy a recliner when we get back home -- here on vacation -- and he gave us his full attention and went above and beyond helping us out and getting us information. Everyone should have such a nice and helpful employee

I went in this store on Feb 15th and got a price on a recliner. It was out of my budget FOR SURE because I wanted the top of the line leather. Well,I get home and start thinking....do prices vary from store to store?? So I started making phone calls with chair specs. UNBELIEVABLE, people, UnBeLieVaBle!!!!! My chair quote, was $3829.98 at the Lake Charles store. So i called another franchise and they quoted me $2,609.87, same chair. THEN i called a furniture store that handles La-Z-Boy and I have ordered the EXACT same chair for...DRUM ROLL PLEASE $2,170.60. Do you home work unless you have money to burn :)

Do not buy here. Chair purchased coming apart day of delivery. We get a new chair delivered today and it's doing the same thing. I called the store to have the office manager tell me that they don't deal with problems. For me to call the customer service number. This is a brand new chair. The store should be jumping at the opportunity to help after spending almost $7000

Beautiful store as for as furniture products but needs more diversity in this location. They want to cater to high end financially stable individuals and could care less about their average (5th Ave) customers. I as a home owner recommend Planbpatio.com to get products at a affordable price from a customer point of view. P.s Pay hourly and commission

I take back my 5 stars. We were told our furniture would be in in June and now it won’t be in until January 2022. I would have NEVER purchased it if I had to wait that long. With what everyone is going through in lake Charles this is ridiculous. They need to train their sales people better. Now I can’t cancel it without paying them 2800.00 still. Who would do that!!! I get I signed saying I would pay it but I thought I would have furniture by the time I was moving into my house. This whole process to getting our house fixed has been a nightmare but never did I think just ordering my furniture would be a nightmare.

Ordered a couch December 29,2020. We were told 20-26 weeks due to COVID shutdowns and hurricanes. 9 months later and we still don’t have a piece due in June. In June we were told 2 weeks. In July only 3 pieces were “approved” and 3 more weren’t confirmed yet. We were told mid August. Now it’s September and we want our money back and there’s nothing they can do. We will be calling corporate. We will NEVER do business with this company again and we don’t even want a La Z Boy couch in our house anymore.

I would rate lower than one star if I could. Our experience with this store was less than satisfactory. We ordered furniture in March 2021 and waited, and waited, and waited. If we did not check periodically to see if anything was in, I don't believe that we'd have ever known when an item did come in. Some did come, but it was a piece mill delivery. When we were down to the two final items, again having to contact them to find any information, we were told that one item was discontinued (nothing about that in the 3.5 months prior) and that the other piece was dropped and damaged and would take an additional several months to arrive. When we asked for a refund, we were told that it would take 4 to 6 WEEKS for a refund check to be issued, even though our check for the purchase was processed through our bank in less than one week. Perhaps I am old fashioned in that customer service was an important part of doing business and that when wrong, a business should go out of their way to satisfy the customer. Nothing like that will happen with this place, because I believe that the manager, Carl, is a very poor representative of the brand. He claims to "love his customers", but from my perspective as a customer, that is far from a true statement. I would not recommend to anyone that they shop from this store.
