“We had a emergency and our Vet in Deridder sent us to Bayou south to have our Momma goat, who was having trouble giving birth to her babies. She was super stressed and just wore out from it, we showed up late in the afternoon. They took her back quickly, assessed her situation, Dr. Watkins came out to let us know what needed to be done to help her, we were expecting that we lost both kids ( babies) but no we now have to gorgeous kids, boy and girl, momma goat is recovering, and all went amazing!!!! I cannot thank the staff that stayed late, and Dr. Watkins for saving our precious Nixie girl and her babes. We are so grateful! Thank you all again so much!”
“It has taken me a little bit longer to write this overdue review because I was grieving the loss of my Ginger. Lake Area Animal Hospital was a blessing to me as to why my cat was so sick. I had taken her to a few other vet clinics with no actual answers but added medications. I just wanted answers to what was wrong with her. Even though the drive was over an hour from my home I didn't mind. From the moment I called to get Ginger in, until I left with my heart broken I had the best experience here. My heart broken because the news of my cat not being able to survive was devastating. But finally, I received answers. A few days later I received a card from this hospital with uplifting words from everyone. I cried and so full of emotions but thought this was such a caring thing to do. Thank you so much Dr. Hicks and everyone! Your hospital is where I want to continue to bring my little furbabies! Blessings to you all for what you do for families!”

This clinic was so kind throughout the whole process; from the person who answered my questions over the phone, the sweet girl who greeted us upon arrival and took care of our paperwork, to the doctor who actually put her to rest, they offered the best care for us and our sweet MayMay.
