Stopped in on my LAST GREAT ROAD TRIP in October, 2021. Visited with friend Mr. Tom Terral. The Terral family had loaned us at BSA their old home place near Farmerville, LA, for a temporary once-only BSA SUMMER CAMP for the bicentennial (1976). This inspired the Council Board to purchase land for the T.L.JAMES.
THANKS for all the SUPPORT through all the years. Without YOU I would not have been so successful during my time there.

Anyone who can make 4 massive loads of rock magically appear within two hours of calling is hard to beat. Couple that with the two gentlemen who answer the phone at the Tallulah location one works in the office and one in the scale house, they are two fine gentleman, Mrs Vallery for always putting up with my daily max on my debit card. She is a Saint!! Cannot beat them.

You’re not just a number or dollar sign, you’re a person that’s known on a first name basis 95% of the time. Unlike bigger companies. On certain occasions they will go out of their way to meet you in the middle. Friendly office staff. Flexibility with vacations or emergencies. Opportunities for growth and advancement. Some captains could be a little better. They have power trips for no reason. We’re all there to work, get paid ,and go home to our families. Some boats, the pay could be a little higher considering the amount of work and things required to do. As in engine room maintenance when some boats have an engineer. Or having to work 18+ hours straight. But the benefits and flexibility make up for it somewhat. Overall I would recommend especially for guys starting out in the marine industry.
