Always VERY affordable! Women's plus sizes. Many clearance racks, as their products rotate in a couple weeks. If you can't afford something now, come back in 2 weeks and pay half! Everyone is usually friendly. Wide wide selection of clothing, some intimates, shoes and jewelry in Women's and Women's Plus sizes up to 26/28.

I purchased 3 clearance jewelry items, 1 clearance long sleeve shirt and 2 regular priced on April 20, 2018. The register malfunctioned and did not print out a regular receipt for my transaction. The manager, April, printed out a gift receipt for me and told me that I could return the items and get my money back because of the regeister issue if the bras etc..did not fit. On April 27, today, I went to the store with the receipt that was given to me and one of the regular priced items that came apart at the shoulder seam the night I bought it. The staff told me they couldn't give me my money back for the items bc it was a gift receipt and bc there was no tag on the damaged shirt..nothing could be done. I went back to the store after I spoke to April on the phone. I told here I understood about the damaged item..with no tag. But the rest of the items with tags that I did not want..I wanted my money back as I was told it would be no issue bc it was their fault the register was unable to print the original..itemized receipt She stated she did remember giving me the gift receipt bc of the snafoo at her register. She told me she would damage out the regular priced item. That I should find something else. When I checked out again, guess what...I WAS NOT GIVEN MY MONEY BACK FOR THE REST OF THE ITEMS THAT I HAD THE RECEIPT FOR WITH EVERYTHING IN TACT...I WAS GIVEN A CATO GIFT CARD.."BECAUSE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCE....SHE SAID. How is it their error results in me not getting my money back. I should have made here reverse the transaction on 4/20/18. Her staff lied to me about her arrival time at the store today, they were laughing and rude with me, and very unprofessional. I will tell everone I know about this store. And I will continue to take this issue with her managers. Whatever it takes. I hate liars, rudeness, and cover-ups just to get away with not refunding a customer

Poor customer service by manager April. I have been a frequent shopper at this Cato Laplace location for several years...until recently my experience has always been pleasant. Especially with the staff. But, unfortunately not long ago I and my daughter visited the Laplace store to make a purchase and were immediately made uncomfortable due to the manager (April) following us around the store. I asked my daughter to find items to choose from as gift options, so she brought the items to me as I continued to look around... the manager assumed we were attempting to steal so she pretended to straighten merchandise in the exact spot we were standing. She then walked directly across the aisle and stood there with her arms behind her back staring at me. Once I got a sense of what was happening I tried engaging in conversation with her to be sure I'm not misunderstanding her actions. (I was not, Ms. April) was Certainly, stereotyping and profiling. I addressed the situation with her and how uncomfortable she made us feel. She gave this seemingly corporate apology about doing her job, but was NOT sincere as though she cared about us as customers at all.
