The reasoning for a one-star is that their pharmacy is closed on Sunday

I stopped bringing my prescription to Walmart 7 years ago after the DeRidder Walmart told me they were out of my antidepressants and that I could pick them up over the counter. However today my husband convinced me to try again. It was a horrible decision. We dropped off a prescription at 4:20 pm with the promise it'd be ready at 5. It is now 6:07 pm and my milk, cheese and lunch meat have been at room temperature for over an hour and I still have an hour drive and I STILL don't have my medication. They are steady helping new customers but aren't even taking care of the ones who are waiting. Please don't bring your prescriptions here!!!

Unacceptable. Worst customer/pharmacy experience ever. The manager should be fired.

The manager is super nice and they usually have my meds ready. Sometimes the pickup line is long and it takes them a while to answer the phone but it’s better than CVS or Walgreens. I’m satisfied.

Rx wasn't filled. Even a Error in Rx. Called in couple days in advance either Dr or someone wrote amount down wrong. Took almost 5 days to get Corrected.. Should have been CAUGHT the minute the PHARMACY got CALL/ FAX..

This place is so unprofessional. The staff never answers the phone. They refuse to fill prescriptions that are called in by DRs due to their own views on the medications. They fail to look in the computer for called in medications, and find them only after you come in hours later to pick them up, forcing you to wait longer then you have to get back in the huge line that is always there to pay for the meds. The employees at this pharmacy act like no one is there and move with the speed of someone who has no one in line even when the line is backed half way up the isles. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I had a c-section and was released from the hospital late evening July 12th. My fiancé went to fill my prescription when the pharmacy noticed a mistake on the prescription sheet. The pharmacy called and explained the situation to me, I cried uncontrollably! The pharmacist on the phone was so kind and caring and tried her best to comfort me and assure me everything would be okay. They stayed open late just for me to get my medication I desperately needed! I couldn't believe the kindness. Amazing staff members who genuinely care about their customers. Thank you so much Leesville, Walmart Pharmacy!!!!!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I don't know if it was because the young lady that helped me was new on the job or what. However, that does not excuse how they handled business. I stood there for maybe 10 minutes while she searched for my prescription. I was being as patient as I could be but I had been walking all day and I'm pregnant. I asked "is my prescription not here?" And then her and the manager told me 2 of my 4 prescriptions are not covered by medicaid. THEN, both of them disappear. I'm left standing in a long line with a bunch of angry looking people. She then comes back, looks at me and goes to the back again (this happened 7 times) I was wondering why they didn't tell me there was nothing they could do/they were done with me and call for the next person/something. I was tired and exhausted so I left/decided I didn't need my prescription that bad. I know this may not have been entirely their fault for my doctor prescribing me something NOT covered by medicaid but I still think their customer service to be RIDICULOUS.

Lots of new staff and they are very friendly, knowledgeable and will help you as quickly and efficiently as possible. By far the best experience at a pharmacy you’ll have in Leesville.

Been calling this pharmacy ALL DAY and NO ANSWER !!! Called Alexandria and they picked right up... now gotta drive to Alexandria walmart ! Leesville walmart pharmacy is HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!! Went in today (this is a few months later) and asked for 3ML SYRINGE. The pharmacist said we only carry 1ml, in a very sarcastic tone! I said, the Walmart in Alexandria carries them, she rolls her eyes and says, well this isn't Alexandria Walmart is it? WHAT?!?! are you people stupid??? That was so rude ! Then I said could you look under the counter I bought them here once before and that's where the lady got them, the cashier said oh we have these, I said that's what I'm looking for, the pharmacist said, you asked for insulin needles... I said no mam I did not ! She said that's what I heard ... well clean out your ears lady !!!! I never ask for insulin needles bc I dont take insulin !!!! I let them know they was the rudest walmart pharmacy I had ever been too and went be back !! I'll be calling corporate!!!

I have used 2 other pharmacies in town over the years, and Walmart is hands-down the best...honest, efficient, and has almost all medications I have ever needed immediately in stock. I have only had a couple of issues and they have been handled honestly, transparently and efficiently. And I am considered VERY difficult to please in most instances!
