Great people, great food. On Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. they have entertainment. Enjoyed it very much.

First time going last time going there online shows chargrilled oysters on half shell but was on foil shell and had no flavor maybe worse I ever had 5 fish and shrimp plates and no flavor at all blan fish and shrimp definitely not worth the money or time waitress was good though wasn't happy with the food still tipped the waitress wasn't her fault the cook is not good/ only had 3 other tables besides us and it took forever to get the food out. Will stick with Morton's seafood down the street because this place was terrible won't go back and by the way seafood platter wasn't good either had same blan fish and shrimp the 5 fish and shrimp plates were all you can eat and nobody could get past first plate out of 7 people awful the shrimp was over cooked and rubbery with no flavor batter falling off catfish under cooked and mushy no flavor batter coming off on all 5 plates the fries were cold the char oysters were horrible no flavor and very small about size of a quarter not worth the price the butter and garlic that came with crab legs tasted like oil with garlic powder sprinkled in was 7 of us and nobody was satisfied with it again was first time and last time total waste of $250 plus the $45 tip but wasn't waitress fault I blame it on the cook who ever it was Wednesday night was not a good cook we were totally unsatisfied and took forever to get it to the table with only three other tables occupied was slow night but couldn't tell by the time it took to get orders had plans for dessert after but after the horrible food changed our minds

Best catfish in town! Jasmine was amazing. So sweet and efficient. Restrooms were spotless as was the entire restaurant. Felt like I was dining at a family members home. You gotta try this place. You’ll be glad you did!

Well, the food was Avg to good, but the table was sticky, so we questioned the cleanliness.

Overcooked shrimp like rubber. Undercooked catfish like mush. Sweet Potato fries - cold. Honestly you could get seafood this lousy at Captain D's. This was a one and done for me.

Seafood pasta and the Orlando poboy were amazing. Fried pickles and the onion rings were bland. Nice atmosphere.

If you're seeking the ultimate seafood experience in Madisonville, LA, look no further than Orlando's. As a seasoned foodie with a discerning palate and a background rooted in the world of seafood, I was blown away by the sheer perfection of every bite at this culinary haven. My recent encounter with their renowned seafood platter left me utterly dazzled and thoroughly impressed.Let's talk about the seafood platter that stole the show: a divine ensemble of flavors that included fried catfish, fried oysters, fried shrimp, and their masterfully crafted homemade crab cakes. From the moment I took my first forkful, it was evident that Orlando's pays unparalleled attention to detail. The fried shrimp, a true litmus test for any seafood joint, were an absolute revelation. Succulent, tender, and cooked to the pinnacle of perfection, these shrimp were a testament to the kitchen's prowess.Growing up in a household steeped in seafood tradition, I've developed an innate knack for discerning the sublime from the subpar. It was evident to me that Orlando's not only shared my father's principles but elevated them to new heights. The meticulous care taken in maintaining pristine oil quality in their deep fryers and preventing any cross-contamination of flavors showcased their commitment to excellence. And oh, the flavor! Orlando's struck an impeccable balance that many restaurants strive for but only a few attain. The seafood was perfectly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors of the ocean to shine through without any overpowering saltiness. In a realm where too many fall into the trap of overcooking, Orlando's displayed an expert understanding of the art of frying seafood. Each component of the platter, from the shrimp to the catfish, and even the oysters, was timed to perfection. The hush puppies, a simple yet often underestimated side, brought waves of nostalgia with their homemade taste. Their authenticity and attention to even the smallest details showcased a kitchen that values every element of the dining experience.

So I’ve been there three times. 3 times too many. They only have one dessert on the menu and that’s bread pudding. They have been out of it every single time. They’re closed Sunday Monday Tuesday. They open back up on Wednesday. So I’ve even been there on a Wednesday at 5 PM and they are already out of bread pudding. The waitress told me they only make one pan of bread pudding a week. I mean really? You’re out of the bread putting a few hours after you open up and have been closed for three days? I had the seafood gumbo and there was no seafood in it. Maybe like 4 or 5 of the little bitty bait shrimp and it’s very watery. They said that’s how they make it. Would definitely not suggest getting this. The lobster bisque is OK. I’ve had that before as well. I would recommend that over the gumbo. The potato salad is horrendous. Would not recommend that at all. The fried catfish platter is OK The breading is pretty good on it. And the onion ring was good as they make it fresh per order. I wouldn’t say I would be rushing back to this place anytime soon.

We have eaten here many many times before and we always enjoyed everything we ordered. Not so on this last trip. I ordered the crab cake appetizer as I always do, but that day they were half the normal size, I could not see any evidence of crabmeat in them as I normally did, they were only about 1/4 inch thick and overcooked and dried out. My husband ordered the crab cake platter with pasta and there was no shrimp in the sauce and the crab cakes were the same as mine were. All in all we were disappointed to say the least. Don’t know if I will ever go back.

This a smaller place with 14 tables and a bar area with a few tables. The restaurant is appropriately decorated with hunting and fishing decorations making it quite cozy and comfortable. I wanted to order gumbo but they were out. My server, she was by herself today, jokingly said they were out of everything. Besides no gumbo, they were out of potato salad, lemonade and some other stuff. So I went with the All You Can Eat Shrimp and Catfish for $14.95 from the specials board. She brought out a large plate heaping with fried shrimp and catfish on top of fries with a slice of French bread. I didn't think I would be able to eat it all let alone get more, but I managed to eat all the shrimp and catfish by avoiding the fries all together. My meal was very flavorful and I enjoyed it immensely.

Some of our catfish was not cooked properly. Oysters were mushy and had lots of batter. Practically no seasoning. Server didn't even bring water to the table. After leaving the restaurant a nasty taste still lingered in our mouths.
