Upper management has been saying they’re going to renovate this place for the past 3 years. All renovations have gone to the golf course. This “resort” needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. We have been coming here for 16 years and the only thing they have updated are the beds, some furniture and picture frames. Staff is very friendly and courteous.

Came with a group of 8 friends for a golf weekend and had a great time! The golf course is in spectacular shape and recent renovations were superior. We stayed in the golf villas, which could use some updates, but were clean and accommodated use perfectly with walking distance to the course and main resort area. Good breakfast buffet and nice bar area for drinks. Overall a great time and absolutely beautiful spot on the lake. With some room updates this would be a perfect place to enjoy a vacation.

Room were comfortable and beds luxurious, hallways hot & steamy without a/c, walls were thin allowing me to fall asleep to our neighbor's rhythmic snores, staff welcoming and friendly. Plethora of amenities we couldn't use, very pricey. Breakfast was not included but was well prepared. Overall, we paid a very high price to sleep. For a protracted stay, it would be perfect as long as you have deep pockets.

Stayed the weekend in Toldeo Bend (not at the hotel) decided to try the restaurant out this morning before our departure home. To my surprise there were quite a bit of people this morning, and only one waitress! Although it seemed we all walked in back to back the young lady (Jamie) was so polite, going back and forth she did an amazing job and was attentive! I had the traditional breakfast it was very lovely although my eggs were slightly over cooked. The pictures online must be older, it looks a little outdated now, the door to the back patio looks to be falling apart...Could use a fresh coat of paint, new furniture, as well as carpet.

Gorgeous location on a sprawling, newly renovated, 18 hole golf course with panoramic views of Toledo Bend Reservoir, you can't beat it! My husband and I traveled from the greater Austin,TX area to enjoy the nature and the constant level lake with beautiful views as far as the eyes can see. The staff, especially food and beverage manager Warren, and the service were amazing and whatever we needed, we were accommodated. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Every morning we woke to a magnificent sunrise with golf course and lake views. We had a very relaxing stay, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, we enjoyed the spacious and clean pool, and made our way to the local marina to lounge on the beach and walk the fishing pier. We never had to leave the resort since we ate breakfast lunch and dinner on site while enjoying a live band and cocktails on our Friday arrival and on our last evening we watched the LSU vs FSU football game having a blast with other guests and local patrons. All in all, we will be back too visit this sportsman paradise, the next chance we get. Likely in February during the bass pro fishing tournament.

This is a review for the service only. I did not get a chance to stay at the hotel.I was presenting a short talk over lunch at this resort and everyone was so kind.1. The projector I brought was not strong enough to project clearly in the room. They lent me their projector free of charge to make sure my talk went well.2. I called a week before my visit to confirm a few things and decided to cancel my overnight reservation for personal reasons. They cancelled it for me without any hesitation. Big shout out to Danielle at front desk for being so helpful.3. Suzanne helped me with the planning of my lunch event and she is so incredibly patient. My work asked for very specific changes to our invoice and she got them all done in a timely manner.4. Golf pro Eric. He saved me. This place is remote. I’m talking no Uber/taxi/private car service of any kind. My talk finished at 1:00pm and I had a 4pm flight to catch out of Shreveport with no way to get there. Eric drove me 1.5 hours to the airport and we got there with 20 minutes to spare. Let’s just say our conversation about zombies in the car was the highlight of my day.Thank you again everyone for showing a stranger so much hospitality!

This hotel is in a very peaceful spot on the lake. It was undergoing renovations while we were there but we enjoyed our stay nevertheless. The staff was wonderful, the hotel's main areas are beautiful and the pool was great!

The lake is beautiful - but that's about it. Rooms were so outdated - entire place felt like a nursing home. There was a group of about 20 of us for a work retreat. You'd think the staff might be happy for the business - but the server in the "social room" was the most rudest, laziest servers I've ever seen. After a 5 hour drive -we were told they were serving food until 9 - it wasjust after 8 and we were told they were cooking their last order and wouldn't cook us anything (there were 6 of us) - A manager (Warren) told them they needed to seat us and take our order - She was super rude, eye rolling - "what do you want" - just unpleasant. front desk staff we SUPER rude - key cards weren't working - when asked for a new one "what did you do to it" was the response. There were several front desk staff with the same attitude so it wasn't just one person NExt evening we went to dinner - almost all of us. You'd THINK they would have been prepared -but they weren't. There was another server helping out the rude one - food was coming out wrong - and took forever. When asked where our food was - the second server blamed the other one - So unprofessional and rude.We will all say - the FOOD WAS FABULOUS!!! Everything we ate -when we ate was outstanding. But the customer service was appalling. Oh yeah - and NO HOT WATER.

Love this place. Lots of active construction going on as the place is being updated. The golf course was closed for renovations. Look forward to going back and seeing all of the completed repairs.

This place is very outdated and most of the amenities are outdated and or broken. Far too little staff to run this place and was very dissatisfied on management in resolving my stay being charged twice. =

I'd like to start out with the positives. The staff was great and so nice. The property is beautiful and has the most amazing view from the back side. The large Crepe Myrtles are beautiful! The furniture throughout the hallways are wonderful! Anyone in a wheelchair or scooter can access the whole property. We loved our stroll along the pathway down to the water. Unfortunately, there are more negatives that positives. Upon arrival we noticed that the buildings don't receive much TLC. The flowerbeds in ALL areas are being taken over with weeds and they haven't seen new mulch in quite some time. There were bees of all sorts flying around the flowerbeds every time we walked out on to the front porch, back porch of the main part of the hotel or walked on the sidewalk into the hotel. The wooden trim around the columns are so rotten and weathered that pieces had fallen off onto the ground leaving the rotten column exposed. The main doors going into the hotel are extremely damaged and falling apart. The back porch furniture needs to be thrown out and replaced. The seats to the chairs were torn down the middle. It appeared that there was water damage to our room that was just painted over. I was concerned about the quality of the air. There appeared to be pieces of tarp left on the roof from storm damage. That told us that the repairs were never done. Was there federal money received that was not used for its intended purpose??? The refrigerators in the 2 rooms that I booked were not properly working. Our bottled waters stayed cool and never got cold. The entrance into the main lobby is amazing. While sitting in this area (on the very worn cushioned chairs) we noticed thick spider webs filling all of the recessed lighting. The air conditioner in the workout room wasn't properly working and most of the tread mills didn't work. The swimming pool was great...until one of the underwater lights came out of its fixture and was floating. We made our children get out due to electrical concerns and someone being electrocuted. My disabled brother who was there with us wasn't able to use the indoor pool chair lift. It wasn't working and the bolts that held it to the ground were so rusted and it couldn't be trusted even if it did work. There was black mold growing on walls of the wheel chair ramp going down to the indoor pool area. There were no handicapped accessible rooms or bathrooms. We were told months ago upon booking that the handicapped rooms were being renovated, however that wasn't true at all. There was no handicapped shower chair available on the property. On night 2/3 my disabled brother, sister and nephew were locked out of their 2 queen bed room. Several very apologetic staff members tried unceasingly from around 9pm to 12:30am to get into the room with no success. They were placed in a king room until someone was able to gain access into the locked room. My disabled brother had no access to his walker nor the battery to charge his scooter. Someone knocked on my door around 5am the next morning to inform me they were able to get the door open so that I could gather my family member's belongings. All of the old locks need to be completely replaced. That is just one of MANY things needing repairs. The manager did refund us for 1 night stay however it would be great if we were refunded more. The website surely is misleading and this place isn't worth $200/night. It's clear that the whole place needs an overhaul. There isn't enough staff to keep up with all the upkeep this place requires. It certainly is job security for the maintenance worker. My family still had a great time but our expectations definitely were not met giving that we paid approximately $200/night. This place is absolutely not worth that amount of money. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Great resort on the Lake in Many, LA. Rooms need a little attention. Restaurant and bar are great and staff is wonderful. The view is amazing too.

This place is a scam. They are advertising as a resort but it is a 2 star motel at best.Rooms: Very outdated. Mold in the bathroom. Carpet was wet and sticky.Nearby activities: If you are looking for things to do here besides fishing or boating, good luck. There is nothing around unless you drive an hour. The cell service is HORRID and the wifi is no better.Safety: The back door to the hotel is broken and does not lock. The textured ground around the pool has been worn down and is very slippery. There is a main cokumn near the entrance to the hotel that is rotten. Many wasps circling and even inside the building due to the door not closing.Food & drinks: Breakfast is 12.95 per person and is low quality with very little choices. There is no room service, which is unheard of for a "resort."Noteworthy details: Front desk staff was not very helpful or professional. They ran out of pool towels on the 4th of July weekend when everyone is using the pool. We had to walk back to our rooms trailing water with us. When we called the front desk to ask for more towels to be brought, they simply said they do not have any.
