Went for appt for eye exam and get new prescription. The staff was polite and helpful. The doctor explained everything. This was an amazing experience. Would recommend for getting glasses.

I usually go to the Americas Best in Metairie but since I work in Marrero I decided it would be easier to just go the Americas Best in Marrero on my lunch break....IDK if people just think other people are stupid or can't see or just don't care but the worker in their by the name Janae, is too disgusting. She must think just because she didn't take the smile off of her face that means she's good. People so quick to just be mean and judge other for no reason. Just because people are different from you doesn't mean it's wrong or they're stupid. We are all very different from each other and it makes me sick that everybody is just so quick to be nasty to a stranger rather than show a little bit of kindness. Do better seriously.

I went here for contacts for each eye. Told three techs. And the Dr. i need a contact for distance for my left eye. I went to pick them up today. They do not have any record of a prescription for the left eye. How do you do an eye exam and not have a prescription for an eye that clearly needs a contact. I should have known better than to think anything good would come out of marrero.

Long time patient of other America's Best. This office stood out for friendly customer service and less wait time. Dr was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

A month after receiving my glasses the screws started falling out causing the lenses to hit the ground and scratch. I went back 3 times to have the screws replaced and have the glasses put back together. I asked them to document the issues. When I went back the 4th time I was told that there was nothing they could do. When I made the appointment for the eye exam I was told the doctor would be in. When I arrived, there was no doctor and I was told that he had an emergency and it would be a video exam. After an hour of fooling with the computer it was determined that the video exam system wasn't working properly. My glasses were compted because of the inconvenience which was nice but the glasses turned out to be junk and they wouldn't stand behind them. After many years as an America's best customer, I'm afraid that run has come to an end.

I made an appointment for an eye exam @3:40pm. Came on time, but still have to wait 1 hr before the doctor can see you. No explanation. No sorry. What is the point of the appointment? Horrible service.

Easy, basic and accessible. I tore my contact at work and knew I'd get a headache if I went all day without it. I'm a teacher and was able to get in and out during my 1 hour planning period. Still waiting for my order to arrive 2 weeks later but no complaints. The doctor was thorough and knowledgeable throughout my exam and I appreciated that because my prescription changed for the first time in years.

Had an appointment scheduled for 1:30 this afternoon at the Barataria location and gave myself plenty of time to get there but unfortunately arrived 6 minutes late due to some construction. When I got there, I apologized for being late and was immediately told the doctor was going to lunch since I did not fill out some online paperwork and can I come back almost 2 hours later?This experience combined with the fact they got my prescription wrong last year made me not want to come back.I went across the street to Stanton Optical where they are running the same deal, with a better selection of glasses and it was really easy to schedule an appointment with the friendly lady at the desk.

Go somewhere else. The staff is rude and slow and they didn't tell us that the contacts we ordered were back ordered even after calling several times. It took over a month and we finally called the main customer service line and they told us.But yeah. There are other locations. I won't come back here.

Today I had a thorough eye exam that was performed by Tech Mrs Lekita and her GM : Ms Leslie. They both are very professional and took their time to insure that I was given a good eye exam. They are the best and good at what they do. Thanks again!!

These mono-vision contacts work great for me! My distance vision is sharp and better than it has been for years in comparison to the multi-focal lenses. I wear a gun as required for my employment so sharp distance vision is critical.
