I went to pick up the vehicle I reserved 3 months in advance. Upon my arrival the lady at the front desk informs me she has no 12 passenger vans available. This was a huge inconvenience and I was not accommodated in any way. On top of that they tried to charge me card a fee because I did not cancel. I didn't need to cancel because I went to pick it up. Basically I will not be going back there.

I would not refer no one to this business, let alone another associated Avis. They over charge you putting your account in the negative. She ran my card twice on her own before I could even call to extend y rental. After she was the one who said to call to extend my rental. She was taking $1000 a week out of my account. When my base was $351.33. The employee is very rude and lies about what she’s doing. After speaking with my bank they informed me my card was ran on Tuesdays and Wednesdays plus on Friday when I would call to extend my rental. She charged for full week plus added late fees on my account even though dropped the vehicle off 4 days early. When I lost my debit card I updated my account with the location and they still messed over me saying they couldn’t get payment because when I called she never really updated my payment she was still trying to run my old payment. I will NEVER use or refer this business as an entity to no one. I have never encountered these types of issues using hertz and Enterprise. This is the only company I have have ever rented a vehicle from being ran so poorly.

My main issue is regarding the Uber car rentals. If you don't have any cars to rent to Uber drivers, you shouldn't be able to make a reservation. It's that simple. It's bad business and unacceptable for you to give a confirmation then upon arrival you tell people you don't have any cars for Uber. I was told by the Uber driver that picked me up from this location to go to Hertz which is what I plan to do. The woman with the accent definitely needs to not work with the public. You have been warned.

They gave me a key that stopped working for the car. When I told them about this they told me to call pop a lock (something that cost $100). Apparently since I have the car it’s my responsibility so I’m responsible for the charge. I have to pay $100 to get into a car that I have the keys to because they gave me a faulty key. Good luck with this companyUpdate I have to pay $230 to get it towed to Avis. Lol I make $12 an hour after taxes, I’m going to have to work 2 to 3 days just to pay this off. It’s truly sad considering I still have the keys in my hands and now I’m being charged late fees because I can’t afford to give them their car back.

I went to 1646 Barataria Blvd Marrero, Louisiana to pick up a vehicle I had reserved for 4:30. I waited patiently for over 20 minutes while others in front of me were being serviced. When it was FINALLY my turn, I told the employee my name. She pulled up my reservation then told me I be right back. I have to do a return. She decided to service the White man behind me who had only been waiting 5 minutes. It takes the same amount of time to do a return as it does to give someone a car because they still have to inspect the car and check the gas level. They also close at 5:00 so my car was ready and she gave cars to people in front of me. So I politely told her 'um, no ma'am. I've been in here since 4:30' and walked out of the door. Why she thought the White man that had only been in the store 5 minutes was above waiting like I had to and I had nothing better to do than just hang in her establishment all day is beyond me but I will never return to that racist establishment again. There are other companies to rent from.

I hope I have enough characters for what I have to say about the Avis/Budget location. First, I walked into the building and there was one woman behind the counter and 4 people already in line. So I take my place, the woman check out the first man and brought his car up. Then as she’s checking out the next lady in line she then proceeds to ask for our names. In which we tell her and a few minutes go by and she says she has to take out name and numbers down because she don’t have any cars. 1 lady gives her number and leaves and 1 man and I still stood in line. She proceeded to check out the lady and brought up her car. At this point we could see and hear everything that is happening. The lady asks her to take a look at the broken piece in front of the car, to let her know that it’s there . The lady quickly with an attitude said “Yes, we know it’s there it’s on the paperwork.” and closed the door on that lady. I know the lady didn’t sign the same paper I didn’t sign. Then as she was checking out the next customer a man she asks me for my name and number because she says the people that are supposed to be returning the cars isn’t here because of the weather. Which is understandable but again not my fault because a few weeks prior I booked and paid upfront for a 1:00 pm appointment to pick up the car. They should’ve made sure a car was there for my pickup time. So I gave her my name and number and instead of leaving I sat in the chair and told her I was going going to wait for a car to come and until then I’ll write a review cause her attitude was beyond unprofessional at this point. She continues to check the man in for his car and gives him the keys. Then she comes back in and says she has a minivan if I would take that instead. At this point I would’ve took anything in which I did. But this woman had the nerve to pull up and walk around the car without me to look for any damages and then tore a piece of paper off of her booklet and pressed it into my hand without me signing a thing. Even though I took out insurance she didn’t ask if I have any questions or even give me the keys or even give me a clue where she put them. If Avis/Budget customer service is like this I’ll never recommend anyone to use their services. Nor will I ever recommend this location! The woman attitude was nasty and she needs to be corrected. If google reviews had a 0 star I would’ve clicked that instead. Very rude to customers there and over the phone.

Quick and friendly service at the office in NOLA. Easy return in miami international airport. On the car details nor in the rental agreement it stated the type of fuel. When we called the office, we were transferred to a call center. The employee told us he would transfer the call to someone who could give us the answer, but instead we got disconnected. That’s why -1*. We had to look up what similar cars would normally take and ‘guessed’ right.

I'm so disappointed. Beware!!! We needed a rental car, had been walking around for hours with our luggage, and paid $30 to take a taxi here after paying for the rental while making the reservation. We waited an hour for the 1 person in front of us to get a car. We were then told that they wouldn't accept our debit card for an unknown reason (national bank chain). We ended up having to pay for another ride to Hertz who gladly rented us a car. While waiting 2 other customers were treated terribly as well.

Desk clerk is rude and unprofessional. Up sold my Reservation for a Tahoe that was made and paid for months in advance. Then, tried to give me a smaller vehicle. She then wanted me to call customer service!
