Hours state that they open 8:30am yet it is 9:00am and still no sign of them opening. Least they can do is let the people waiting know when they will actually open

The basic requirement for this job is that you can read and write. Me and my neighbors are constantly bringing each other's mail that has been miss delivered to the wrong addresses to each other. I had one carrier for little over a year that was great. He walked the route and never had problems. Now we have ones that drive from door to door and are always talking on the phone that's if they even show up. We have noticed that we go days with no service. We've all had issues with this office, like it's out for delivery and doesn't show up or it gets sent to another office or it sits for days. This office is Gov mismanagement at its best.

I have been to this location 3 times in 3 weeks. 1st time, sign on door closed until noon. I was there at 1:15 and it was still closed. 2nd time, sign on door closing at 12:30. I was there at 12:00. Line to the door and only one person working. Today, cash only as machine down. Again only 1 person working and she was slow. More concerned about making a sign for the door than serving customers. Line almost to security gate.

Dropped a padded envelope into one of the mail slots on the inside of the post office and it disappeared. Someone in there has some Christmas earrings. Now I'll have to stand in line and make sure it's scanned so it won’t become some post office employee's gift to themselves.

While working at a customer house on Buccaneer in Marrero, I was chastised by a black female worker because my work truck was parked on the street and she had to walk 10ft to mailbox.

Visited the Marrero post office to purchase stamps at 9:04 on dec. 9th, 2024 but I had to turn around and leave at what transpired before my eyes.
standing in line, there were more than thirty (30) customers to be served and would you believe there was one employee sitting in a chair providing service at snail rate movement while laughter and cutting up could be heard in the back of the dividing wall. If this was my business, everyone of the employees would be at the front helping customers and the manager of the post office would be bagging groceries at the local food store.

This post office is a joke. They get your stuff and send it all over the place. Package was delivered to them, literally has to go 5FT more in Marrero and these fools send it to Saint Rose, and Kenner after the 5th day it’s supposed to be delivered. What are you guys doing in there?! Multiple times this has happened like just call us and let us pick up our own stuff if you are incapable of doing the delivery.
