Renting cars post pandemic has become a nightmare. I expected to have a similar experience here but to my surprise, it was a smooth process from picking up the rental and dropping it off. The owner and the workers at this location are fantastic. I was given a courtesy call the day prior and informed that the rental would be late getting to the location and that I would receive a call to pick it up when it became available. As promised, I was called the next morning and was able to pick it up on time. Previous rental car agencies didn't bother to contact me to let me know they didn't have a rental car available at all despite booking weeks in advance. Needless to say, I will definitely rent again from this location.

Reservation was made 2 weeks ago and paid for I asked for a 5 passenger suv arrive a MSY airport and they had only a Mercedes Benz sedan or a 4 x4 truck … both a which were not appropriate for vacation travel they said preferred members get to pick first ?I always rent with Avis and budget through USAA and never was told that before it makes it pointless to make a reservation ?I guess I better move to Enterprise or Hertz

One star is too much.. the bad reviews are legitimate. Poor customer service. They mumble so you can't understand them. Then Brandon gets in the middle of your transaction with the clerk. When you ask him to stop so you can get your car and go he gets confrontational. Never rented the car, no way will I help pay their wages.

I have never been so heartbreakly disappointed and angry at a company before. Confirming reservations, sending you confirmation emails and reservation numbers, e-check-in online and then when we fly across the country, for an EMERGENCY, only to arrive at the airport car rental and be told "so, sorry we are out of cars"... "the website is wrong , because it doesn't show our current inventory". Having to rent a hotel because we can't get a vehicle. Then calling the Avis customer support after hours who says "I am a reservation specialist and my system is more up to, I can see they have your car available now. I assure you! " Having me run in rain from the hotel at 12:30am back to the airport car rental to be told by the manager " I'm sorry we are completely out of vehicles, I can put your name and number on this list we started." Then I call back the customer service ask to speak to a supervisor/manager and am told they have all left and to call back tomorrow. I asked " so you all work completely unsupervised with not one supervisor/manager, even on call? " To which he said simply " yes".My partners mother is in the hospital, we flew across country, had to fly into another state because of a hurricane so we could drive to her and now we are stuck in a completely different state because of Avis. I swear if anything happens to his mother and he doesn't get to see her I am going to raise hell like you have never seen before.

Terrible experience renting at this place. First car given to me had maintenance indicator light on. Then the replacement car had the check engine light on. They didn’t have any more car for me to try so they asked me to go to the downtown location where I finally got one without any problem. So it took me at least an hour to finally get a car. The one star rating is for the agent who showed enough courtesy to deal with the issue. Bottomline, I suggest going straight to the downtown location if you need a rental around NOLA.

Avis Rental company has the most Rudest people working for their company! I was called a LIAR when I booked my rental when their branch was closed! so UNPROFESSIONAL OH YES I CALLED 18003527900 ON THAT SUPERVISOR

Do not rent from this place. Poor customer service. The guy who works here doesn’t even have common courtesy. He keeps customers waiting while he jokes outside with his friends.

Convinient location but they rely on cars being shuttled for the airport. I showed up 45 minutes before my reservation and was told the vehicle would be here in 30 minutes. 1.5 hrs later (30 minutes after my reservation) and we are still waiting for the airport avis to send over any vehicle.
