Not a fan, my puppy's first few experiences out and about need to be carefully monitored and made positive, no matter how you book they want you to drop your pet off and come back when they call you or you can sit in the waiting room and they will come discuss what they find with their exam. Some folks may be ok with this, I can't afford him to have a bad experience and I want to be present for his exam and handling.

Very knowable, good prices, they offer a contract that offers unlimited visits for the year, other services are offered depending on the contract you buy. They call us usually the day after each appt to check up on my dog's progress. Recently they started opening 7 days a week. We have been using Banfield for several years.

We are dog sitting for one of our daughters, and of course, their dog got hurt she goes to the banfield in Lafayette. I needed her seen where I live. I have to say Jessica, who answered the phone, heard the concern in my voice, and she was so pleasant and really helped us out. Definitely would recommend this location, and when you go, tell Jessica HELLO. She is truly a gem.

Dr. Kitziger is great. Not a fan of drop off visits, but understand that sometimes it is necessary (like if sedation or surgery is involved)

I don't like that I cannot go in with my pet. Also I was told if I dropped my kittens off at 8am which I didn't want to do. I like to be present with my animals. I was told they should be done by or before lunch. It was close to 4pm when I picked them off. Then staff made attempts to upsell me when I never met the vet til after I picked my kittens up.

Absolutely the worst pet service I’ve experienced. I wanted my pet just for annual shots and they put my dog in the cage for 4 hours without giving any updates. Several other dogs went in and out in 5 minutes while we were waiting.. they gave different excuses every other time. and they charged me more than what they first told me. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to them, they said “google other vets to go”…. So rude!!!!The other customers who heard the conversation told us that we should go other places because they also felt vets were so rude.Your job is to take care of animals not put them in the jail for nothing. Fix this.

We recently switched to the Elmwood store. Our first visit here was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. as an in office appointment. The tech didn't come for my dog until 11:55. We didn't leave until 12:50 p.m. If this keeps happening, we will switch back to the Veterans location.

The worst service and very incompetent people. They did not even provide any information about my pet’s health. ‘’Just pay and leave’ service.Don’t waste your time and money at this place.

We have been with Banfield since... 2012, I believe. I have a 15-year old kitty, who was the only child until 2018. Nigel was always loved and taken care of at Banfield - for even my most paranoid visits. Haha. One time, he chewed dental floss; they couldn't see it in his p*** the day he was there, of course. We were worried it would get tangled in his intestines and need surgery. Dr. K gave him a gentle laxative and said if I saw it in his p**** to drop it off and they would check. The next day, I saw what I thought was the end of dental floss. So I dropped off his p*** and they sent me a picture of 16-17" of dental floss! That is love. Thankfully, that was the end of the dental floss saga. I'm 2018, a very high maintenance corgi puppy was added to the family. Dr. Broomhall and Dr. Kitziger and Dr. Hedges have all been his doctors. Harry Oliver has been their patient since day 1. And when I tell you that I brought him in for ANY AND EVERYTHING, I mean it. "Hi Alexia, Harry is breathing weird. Can I bring him in? Hi Jessica, Harry sat on his hip. Is that normal? Hi Matt! It's Sheri, Harry's mama. So, I think something is wrong with his back paw. Can I bring him in?" Matt even said once "Harry's here so often, we should reserve a kennel for him! Lol." Except then I thought "oh no... does he come here that often? Not LOL" They have been nothing but gracious, kind, professional, and nothing short of incredible! They have calmed my fears when something was amiss, and truly helped me be the best pet parent I can be to give my pets the best life they deserve. Both pets are on optimum wellness plans, and we have their semiannual comprehensive exams/blood work, dental, and vaccines. Because Harry is clumsy and accident-prone, he has also had to have pain meds and muscle relaxers. He's also, of course, got allergies. So he gets the Citapoint shot as necessary. They have been our family when it comes to my pets' care and I am devastated to leave them when we move. They are knowledgeable, follow through, and so great! And they love the pets like their own!!! Shout out to: Dr. K for always being so thorough and explaining everything to me in terms I understand. Also for just being a phenomenal doctor. We can't thank you enough for everything you have done for us. Dr. Hedges for always being so calm and reassuring with her calls. Also for having the current trends/data on prescription foods/interactions for Nigel. Matt - for always being fun and ready to laugh and all around awesome. Holly - for always being soooooo interactive and talkative with Prince Harry lol. Jessica - for allowing Harry to give you lots of loves and for sharing bunny info! Rachel - thank you for your impromptu emails of prescription cards!!! Alexia: the ace boon coon!!! You are THEE BEST EVERRRR. "Hi Alexia it's Sheri! " You have been there since we first joined and I am so grateful for you. We will miss this crew immensely and will be forever grateful for all the care they have given us. THANK YOU!!

What a horrible rip off. I brought my Boston Terrier in for an allergy shot, nail trimming, and anal gland expression. $125 later I got my dog back. $55 to express anal glands and $35 to cut nails? An entire grooming that includes anal glands and nails is less than that at most places. Worse than that, he had some sort of awful smelling stuff smashed into his coat when we picked him up. I'm not sure if it was pop or vomit, but it stunk up the whole house. I will NEVER go back there again. I suggest you call around for pricing, and don't get sweet talked into some pet insurance plan at Banfield either. It is a total rip off.
