It is always a pleasure just to go in and find new literary treasures. I love how peaceful it is

I love bookstores and B&N is one of the last great big box bookstores. Their selection is top notch, but their layout makes it difficult to find what you're looking for, and their prices are high enough to send you to online options. I want to live it and support them, but they don't make it easy.

Very inviting atmosphere! It was peaceful and quiet, and I went on the busiest day of the week! Will be a regular.

Tucked away into a tree-lined corner of Citiplace Square off of Corporate near college drive and visible from I10 is a treasure trove of stories and imagination - our very own Barnes & Noble. Stepping inside, you're greeted with the comforting aroma of fresh pages and rich coffee, a warm embrace that invites you to explore. The first-floor has everything from gifts, puzzles, baby items, foods, seasonal items, art supplies, journaling supplies, toys, and of course, of a vast expanse of books. It boasts a host of contemporary novels, classics, and a children’s section that is nothing short of a rainbow - a bright, cheerful space where young minds are seen nestled in corners, journeying through colorful pages. It's a nurturing cradle for the curious minds, a testimony to Barnes & Noble's inclusive ethos. As you ascend to the second floor, a universe of knowledge unveils before you. The Non-Fiction section is a haven for seekers, while the Fiction aisles are brimming with tales waiting to whisk you away to far-off lands. Every shelf is a promise of adventure, learning, and self-discovery.The heart of the store is undoubtedly its cozy café. Amidst the hustle, a warm cup of latte, or my favorite a caramel cookie crunch Frappuccino (it’s pretty sinful and not diabetes friendly, but totally worth it) and a fresh cookie or muffin provide solace to the wandering minds. It’s where musings flow freely, encouraged by the enveloping ambiance of literary resonance. But the magic doesn't end at the shelves. The staff, a group of bibliophiles with earnest smiles, are always eager to assist. Their recommendations are often hidden gems, reflecting their deep-seated love and understanding of books. It's a personal touch that adds to the charm and allure of the store. The Citiplace Baton Rouge Barnes & Noble isn’t just a bookstore; it's a narrative in itself, a microcosm of endless tales waiting to be discovered. It's where the heart finds what it seeks - a novel to delve into, a tune to hum to, a warm cup to hold, or simply, a quiet corner to dream. Each visit unfurls a new chapter, making the love affair with our local Barnes & Noble an ever-evolving narrative.

Great Loved it, nice clean atmosphere and lots of very interesting books. Would have given five stars but if you want a certain book it's a little hard to find. Thankfully the employees are glad to help you find it with a smile.

Pretty great bookstore. Good sales. Good children's section. One of the staff was kind of rude to us about our neurodivergent child being a little noisy though.

I went into the Starbucks Cafe and asked for specific cookie cause the rest of the cookies were distorted and not fully formed. So the guy told he could not sell me the bottom cookie for some random reason...Go figure, it's draining and wasn't a heavy life.. I just left cause it wasn't worth the aggravation..but Jesus no sale vs a random rule. Not going to make this a political issue but really..This was the worst customer care I've had at a Barnes an noble..Ill never return to this store again..AVOID AT ALL COST..Buy from Amazon they definitely sell you anything you want.

3 1/2 stars would be more fitting.Anyways, this Barnes & Noble in particular is very interesting. For context, I have spent thousands of dollars here within the past two years, and have been a member the majority of the time. Yesterday while trying to exit the store, the alarm went off. It was extremely loud and startled my partner and I really bad. The two cashiers that checked us out looked at us with almost no thoughts behind their eyes, while we were just trying to recover from the loudest sound possible. We stood there waiting to get the issue resolved, and one of them walked up to us. She looked at us blankly while, I assume, she was hearing her manager yell through her ear piece to do this and that. She grabbed our purchased books and redid the security tags, put them through the scanner, and no sound. She proceeded to stare at us and not tell us anything. I took it upon myself to walk through the scanner, and surprise surprise, no screeching alarm. My partner did the same, and then we were finally handed our books. This whole interaction was really awkward for everyone, and could've easily been prevented. The two front employees didn't deserve this interaction, and the one other couldn't even figure out what was going on because her ear piece had somebody talking over her thoughts.Other than that, the cafe is great, selection is mostly good, and employees are fine. It has gotten much better. Before, they had managers at the front who would often juggle conversations between you and the earpiece.

This review is a result of wiki surfing and general boredom...I live on the north shore fairly close to the B&N in Mandeville. I was looking for a toy that I've only seen in stores at B&N, not even specialty toy shops like Le Jouét (which is great if looking for a dose of Toys R Us like nostalgia, lol). Unfortunately the item I was looking for was now out of stock. Fast forward, I was in New Orleans the other day and saw it was in stock at the Merarie location but when I got there I couldn't locate it. I asked an employee who was great, she looked around with me for a while and I eventually didnt see her anymore. Thinking she had given up and ducked I went to find my girlfriend. Before I located her, the employee triumphantly walked to me, having tracked it down in some dark dusty abandoned corner of the storage room. So I got my Tech Deck Pro Series board thanks to her going above and beyond. I would give her a shout-out but I never caught her name. Thanks for the superior customer service! *Note* I have no idea why I wanted this Tech Deck board since I have no skateboarding history, regular or finger boards but I get on my kicks I guess, lol. TLDR, great customer service resulted in me getting a $15 toy that I lazily looked for.

It's literally my favorite place to go! It's so aesthetic and the vibes are amazing. It's like your own personal wonderland. Definitely not the place to visit if you don't want to spend all of your money though! ?
