David Art Center is the largest and most complete art and drafting supply store in the Greater New Orleans area. It is a must-go destination with a dizzying and incredible selection of wonderful things. The inventory includes a wide variety of products, books, and brands for painting, sculpting, casting, calligraphy, drafting, block printing, and more. It tends towards paint, sculpture, and pen-type crafts but carries basics for all sorts, including specialty items.
The friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and informative staff will go above and beyond to assist. They can answer questions about styles, mediums, and what would suit different levels best. The store also offers workshops with great artists. It is an excellent place for both experienced artists and those just starting out.
Very informative and helpful, wide variety of easels.
