Sold a family member a $350 item that was meant to be a Christmas gift, and told them returns would be accepted as long as the receipt was present. The item came out of the sealed box broken so off to GameStop I went, within the allotted time frame for Christmas returns. Well I had the receipt and was told that the item was purchased a few days too early to be a Christmas return which they could have told the family member when the item was being purchased to wait a few more days. Did not renew my membership and I will not shop at GameStop until this issue is made right. I will be shopping at play n talk, Best Buy, Walmart, or just getting games digital.

They had what I needed although it was a bit of a hassle. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I dislike it being in the mall but it is well stocked.

Josh has been super helpful and knowledgeable. He is what other gamestops should have their employees strive to be like.

I came in with my boyfriend to buy a game. We were in line for 30 minutes, it was finally our turn! The cashier says “next”, a guy who was NOT in line walks up. The employee looks at us and continues to check out the other customer. He didn’t apologize or anything. The other employee then noticed and offered to check us out. Not worth coming here. Racist employees.

tldr: Cashier tried to upsell me way too many times, rang up a protection plan on my purchase without my permission, and yelled a rude and snarky comment after me as I was leaving about how I wasn't supporting "small businesses" such as GameStop AFTER I had just made a purchase.Checking out was a horrendous experience. The cashier first asked what my phone number was for the rewards program. I said I was not a member. He asked if I wanted to sign up. I said no. He asked again if I wanted to give him my phone number just in case I have an account. I know for certain I did not have one. He then rang up the game I was purchasing and added the protection plan without asking me first if I wanted it and said, "so this is what it'll look like with the protection plan." I felt that this was a predatory move as customers may not know that they can deny the protection plan as it was not offered per se, but inserted directly into the purchase. I became frustrated with the cashier at this point and said "I just want to buy the game, I don't want to be upsold." The cashier then asked if I would like to purchase a paid GameStop membership for $15. I replied no once again, more sternly this time. Then finally after completing the transaction, the cashier yelled something directly to me as I left the counter along the lines of "and this is why some of our local GameStops have closed, because people aren't showing support for small businesses like us." (I would like to emphasize here that this is not a direct quote, but the essence and content of what he said is represented. I do not remember the specific terms used besides the specific assertion that GameStop is a "small business") I was disgusted with this comment as it felt accusatory, rude, and uncalled for. Not to mention is it wholly inaccurate as GameStop is by no means a "small business." It is in fact the exact opposite, a sizeable chain. I am unsure how a company with ~4,000+ stores could be considered a small business. Therefore, I think this comment was intended to be emotionally manipulative. Not to mention, I was indeed supporting the business, by purchasing the item AT ALL. At any point during this transaction I could have cancelled the purchase and just went to a larger retailer (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.) and bought the game with significantly less hassle. Albeit not for the same price, as I was buying used, but I wish I would have just spent the extra money because the experience of purchasing this game at this GameStop location left me so disgusted and made me feel harassed and so uncomfortable in general that I can guarantee I will not be returning to this location, if GameStop at all, in the future.

Average. However, I love to buy games here physically rather than digital copies because I can make exchanges if I do not like the games
