Laughing Buddha Nursery is a local grocery and market that offers a wide variety of fresh, seasonal, and high-quality foods. Customers can find locally sourced eggs, pork, beef, and goat from their own farm, along with a diverse selection of produce, dairy, poultry, preserves, ferments, bread, pasta, rice, and more from over 30 regional farms and producers. The shop is known for its gorgeous produce, including fresh salad greens, squash, and Louisiana rice, making it a favorite for locavores. Many reviews highlight the excellent quality of products, especially the eggs, which come from yard-raised, pasture-fed birds of various colors and sizes. The market also features pasture-raised meats such as chicken, beef, and pork, appreciated for their taste and sustainability, though prices are higher than conventional options. Customers enjoy the convenience of online ordering with options for pickup at the store or neighborhood hubs, as well as home delivery. The staff is friendly and helpful, eager to resolve issues and answer questions. Originally rooted in organic gardening supplies, the business continues to serve gardeners with organic seeds, potting soil, fertilizers, and soil options. Overall, Laughing Buddha Nursery is praised for its quality, local sourcing, and community-oriented approach.
