McCord Butchery is a fantastic destination and one of the absolute favorite places in the New Orleans area. They sell beautiful meat and lovely specialties, with a lovely selection of items you won't find easily elsewhere. This includes prime steaks, king salmon, duck, roasts, eggs, veal liver, raw milk, fine salts, wines, cheeses, prepared foods, sauces, broths, and even alcohol. Customers are always incredibly impressed and truly love everything purchased, noting the meat is tender with great flavor. The staff is all kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, going out of their way for requests. The shop is appreciated for its cleanliness, making it a trusted and regular stop.
The king salmon fillets I bought and cooked were the best pieces of fish we ever ate . Creamy and delicious ! I started them skin side down in my Finex cast iron griddle , then put them in my old thermidor oven .
