some of the best food I have ever had. the service is great and the employees so friendly, i love shopping there and will continue, its not only a latin store , its a true New Orleans original. when other stores are closing locations this store continues to grow with a location in almost every neighborhood. there is a reason for that , the place is just great

Love shopping there for general groceries, delicious hot meals and the fresh cut meats are prime. However, the last couple of trips to the store, there were quite a few patrons without masks. I don't know if I can continue going when masks are not worn. So sad that people cannot follow rules.....

VERY RACIST. The lady blatantly refused to service me as I was trying to get some food. When I asked for something she's just like "NO" with her arms crossed. And she wasn't saying no because they were out of it I could obviously see the food sitting there. I will be reporting this incident. Also I had a mask on so that wasn't an issue either. Also to note I am not light skinned

Amazing Latin market in Metairie. It has a little of everything. The kitchen is on point with a lot of Classic Latin American dishes.

Carne asada on Sunday was awesome but I can't say u cared for the tortillas I bought. They were thick and corny but they needed something other than steaming in micro. We're a bit too dry like that. Loved the pico did not love the guacamole. Cal do de Rez was the all star! Definite repeat. The tamales were unlike any other I've had. Not stuffed but topped with some sort of sauce. It was creamy. Tamales were very corny and sweet! Didn't see that coming but I liked it. Hope to hit it again soon. The language barrier was real but we muddled thru! Viva adventurous gringos!

Great group of nice and happy people. Very courteous, helpful and friendly. Their selection and variety of different and unique items is unsurpassed by any big box super markets. You can always get a smiling face to help you find anything. I have never experienced such great customer service at any other large super markets like Albertson(they are horrible), walmart or, winn dixie. They could all take lessons from Ideal Market when it comes to servicing customers. Keep up the great job. I always promote them to all my friends and family. I will never shop anywhere else again.

I love this place and have been eating here for years. I love the grocery side but the hot food side is amazing. I always get the carne asada plate with yellow rice and plantains. It's cooked perfectly and occasionally I will get a sweet treat from their bakery. Their flan is my favorite and the tres leche birthday cake is awesome.

The supermarket was very clean and well stocked. The bakery was extensive, cakes, pastries, and breads. The manager was very attentive.

I hate going to this Rouses location. Every time I go it seems to be around 5:30- 6 in the evening. Every time I go they maybe have three cashiers open. I just went in and had to wait almost 45 minutes to check out in one of the three open lanes. Then I asked an employee to call the manager to ask what was going on, she says that it's no good to call him he doesn't do anything anyway and he only has three people on the registers. Which that makes no sense, being at the most slammed part of the day only having three cashiers. Mind you, the manager was nowhere to be found because his employees didn't think there was a point in calling him. People leaving groceries and walking out, I almost did so myself. There were at least 35 people waiting in one line no joke. If their employees are too lazy, or their manager is too inept to schedule people during busy times, maybe they should follow Walmart suit and get self-checkouts. I will never go back to this location unless the other Rouses have burnt to the ground and this is the last one there is... then I'd probably skip it anyway. The parking lot is a joke you can't even get in it, so if I were you I would keep going.

this market needs a serious clean up from top to bottom. i do not know how come it was full of people. i have not seen an unclean supermarket. the meat area had a bad aroma. the management needs to clean it up especially because it is such a small market, everything can be seen. hopefully next time i go out there, it has been inspected and cleaned up.

Finally! After moving to Louisiana 9 months ago from South Texas, I finally found a real Hispanic meat market! They have seasoned fajitas, abuelita chocolate, pií±atas, and fabuloso lol and they serve hot food :) Everyone was friendly too.

This is one of several of this chain of hispanic markets that offers a wide range of Latin American groceries. They also have a very busy deli and bakery offering an impressive array of items in impressive serving sizes for comparatively miniscule prices. They have many Latin American things that your typical grocery will typically not have. For just the deli and bakery this place is worth a visit.
