I cannot stress how much I love this place!! They COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY!!! The system that’s in place as well as the Procare program they use throughout the day lets you check in on your child and updates you on what’s happening!!! Very professional as well. I’m in the midst of a custody battle and they are accommodating to both parents with our child being the most important interest! I cannot stress enough how hard it is to find great care for any child when placed in the care of others!!!

NHLA 2 has been the perfect fit for my family. My son has autism and New Horizon 2 has welcomed us with open arms. He gets all of his services at school and have built great relationships between staff and his therapists. The staff is always greeting you with a warm welcome and very attentive with giving any assistance needed. Everyone in the center knows my son by name and I couldn’t be more happy!

I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the staff at New Horizons! I moved here 3 years ago and from day 1 at this facility, Tracey and the staff have gone above and beyond to care about not only my children, but me.
The classrooms are clean, their day is structured, and they are constantly telling me about things they’ve learned from their teachers. I can’t say enough good things about the fun things they do every week, from librarians, to themed days, water days, field trips and more.
After three years we need to move on, but the relationships I’ve made and my children made will last long after our last day.

Primes step 2 was AMAZING! However, it has since changed ownership and let’s just say I’m glad our family had the resources to pull her from new horizon learning academy. Money hungry doesn’t even begin to describe the place.

As a former employee, I am highly disappointed in the way this business is run as an establishment yet alone a daycare. The children there were my biggest concern for the reason being that they do not eat the establishments food and I was told to lie to parents and say that they were. Haven eaten at this establishment I have caught food poisoning as well as a few of my other colleagues. The food given to the children are usually stale or near expiration. The staff are rude and direct irritation towards students and when reaching out to the “HR department” or owner, problems do not get resolved but instead turned back on you as if you were the issue. The rules are implied for some and bent for others. This establishment is very unprofessional and I have never seen a daycare more money driven rather than putting the children first. I was very excited to work here but after employment I realized everything was a lie. I tried to keep things professional but when one of my relatives enrolled their child into this establishment, I was verbally abused because they felt that I should not be concerned about my younger relatives welfare. After he was being bit by another student which the owner was fully aware of. She stated that it was “private information and that if the injuries were not from the neck up It should not be relayed to parents”. Needless to say my relative questioned the daycare about bite marks on her child and the owner assumed I told her but I was not present during the situation. But if I had told her, I would not have regret telling her because no one’s child deserves to be abused. Especially when so call caregivers are to look out for their best interest. In other words, you need to be very cautious about who cares for your child when you’re not able to be with them.

I’m not sure why people would give this place five stars. First of all I was fooled by the reviews none of what these people are saying is true. My son attended new horizon for only 3 months and while there he had 5 head injuries and was bitten by another child. I also wanted to bring my child his own food since I saw they barely feed the kids anything healthy and was told no unless he had health issues. One day all my son had was a piece of toast and water for breakfast. While they have students on a government assistance program I was not on the program so I did not see the issue with me wanting to provide my child with healthy food. My son was 20 months when he started at new horizon and already knew his alphabet, colors, and numbers up to twenty. Immediately after a month I found my child regressing and having tantrums when dropping him off. And running to me as soon as I arrive to pick him up as if he feared for his life. There was one caregiver my son was comfortable with but she was not there consistently bc they would send her to other sites when short staffed. The CEO Jamalynn never called to apologize for all the incidents that happened to my child but only called to chastise my husband when he questioned the caregiver about all the incidents. I even had to keep my child home for a week bc of all the viruses (Covid and hand foot mouth virus) bc they do not check temperatures and allow sick children to come to school. And I still had to pay 225 for the whole week he missed. Please if you care for the well being of your child do not send them to this school!!

I cannot express enough how wonderful this daycare is. So much more than a daycare. Within three days my ten month old was nearly exactly on his home schedule. He is always clean and happy when I pick him up. The staff is incredibly responsive. I get photos and updates all day. Again, this daycare is so perfect. The meals are nutritious and just…wow. We love New Horizon.

Being a new mom I had no idea where to start. This place has went above the call, I could never thank them enough. The staff is so friendly and aim to please. The owner is so hands on with all of the children. I couldn’t imagine sending my daughter anywhere else

This place has been a blessing for me and my family. The owner and her staff are caring and show great concern for the kids and the families they come in contact with. My child has been to two other centers for greater than 9 months each and neither had a curriculum that enhanced his social skills or literacy. After being at New Horizon a few weeks he has showed an increase in literacy and a major boost in his social skills. I have recommended this place to many of my colleagues and friends, the location is convenient for families in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish.

New Horizon Learning Academy is top tier learning community. The staff is exceptional, and the students are actually learning. I have noticed significant developmental, emotional, and social growth within my child. The environment is clean, and I appreciate the validity used, when practicing COVID-19 procedures.

The staff here is GREAT!!! They go above and beyond for the kids!!! I feel very comfortable leaving my son knowing he’s being taken care of very well. I would recommend this learning center because it’s more than a nursery to all my family and friends.

The owner and director do not care about their employees. They’re so money hungry. For example, if a child is sick they’re going to allow the child at school risking getting the other children sick. Barely wants to pay their employees. The owner told us “It will be the first and last time for us getting paid during a disaster.” (Hurricane Ida) The director wants us to lie to the parents about the child’s behavior because “WE WANT THEIR MONEY” instead of being 100% honest with the parents.
