We were in town for business and our car started shaking while outside NOLA. Mustafa confirmed what our mechanic back home mentioned could be the cause. Mustafa not only got all the parts on a Saturday morning, but stayed way passed their time to work on my parents van. We really appreciate going above and beyond, and the honest work performed to get us back up and running for our trip home.

I've dealt the S and I a few times, plus sent family this way. They are great at their job, and most importantly, trustworthy. This is my GoTo in NO

This is exactly what robbery looks like. Saturday August 5, 2022 I called S&I and asked if they were busy and had time to work on my truck, I told them the exact problem with the truck and what needed to be fixed. I had the truck delivered to them that day with hopes of having it back later that day. Boy was I wrong! Not only did I not get my truck back but they decided to run "tests" on my electrical system on my truck. I didn't get my truck back until Tuesday the next week. These crooks charged me $663.60 for labor to change the fuel pump that I told them needed to be fixed Saturday and another $220 for testing and inspection of the electrical system that worked just fine before they touched my truck. And $424.68 for a fuel pump itself. Wow! Now my A/C started to act up the day I picked up the truck and the next day I had warning lights on my dash. I called S&I to report the problems and was told they are not responsible for it because they didn't mess with any if those things. They want me to bring my truck back to them for more testing that I'm sure they will try and charge me for it. GREAT THING I RECORDED ALL OF THE CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN US. PLEASE ? STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS COMPANY.

My recommendation: If you don't want more problems occur to your car and throw a few hundred bucks in for nothing, don't go there! I'm not the only one who had this bad experience in my circle. According to a tire center in Nola, my car became "very unsafe" to drive after S&I did some work on it. S&I tend to tell you that there is major issue in places that non-mechanic people cannot see or don't know much about. They charge high price to fix it. The same day you drove it home you'll find a new problem. When you call them, they will charge you again for fixing the new problem. Wasted my time and money and now I have to plan to buy a new car.

I'm a traveler from Ohio and a guy from Jiffy Lube recommend this place because my truck was nocking. I already knew the issue and what it cost and how long it takes to fix. My fathers a Macanic and I'm a single father who has a grown son who works on cars. Yes I'm a barber, not a Macanic. Anyways, they looked at me and tried over quo-toting me three times the actual cost. Get outa here S&I. Y'all some scammers for real.

I needed to have the battery cables replaced on my car on Saturday. They fit me in and did the work quickly and for a very reasonable charge. Everyone was really nice and I really appreciate the great service.

My five year old car is now a total loss thanks to the shady bulls*** S&I pulled. Last August my car got flooded and the damage was so severe that the engine needed to be replaced. We had used S&I for years and trusted Mustafa and his team so obviously we had it taken here. S&I billed my insurance company for an approved engine, which would have come with a 6-12 month warranty, but instead they used some rebuilt junkyard engine with over 160k miles on it. I discovered this when my engine failed 5 months after the repairs. (While I was on an exit ramp coming off a major highway btw, 10 seconds earlier and I'd have been dead.) Because Mustafa lied about the work he did, there was no warranty on the engine and my car had to be totaled out by my insurance. I'm damn lucky they had my back on this, otherwise I'd have nothing. At no point did S&I offer to make things right. We completely trusted them... I know they seem honest but they're not, don't even take the risk with this place.

I left my car for a repair. I forgot to ask how much it would be for a diagnostics test, each time I called to get a quote they said they would call me back and let me know. They never did. I called 3 times and waited an hour each time. I also asked if they took my warranty and the girl didn't know. 3 hours with unanswered questions, so I drove down and picked up my keys to find them in the office hanging out on their phones. I took my car somewhere else. Very unprofessional.

I was serviced by Suhail many years ago. I gave him a review; however, it does not seem to be present. Here I go again. I brought in a VW diesel with a turbocharger that failed. The repair was extensive. VW wanted over $8000. Suhail and team got it back on the road for $4000 by searching for less expensive parts. I drove the vehicle for another year before returning it to VW due to their emissions scandal. The vehicle threw codes during the year so 4 instead of 5 stars. More importantly, as I was at the shop for a while, I am commenting on what I saw while there. I saw several customers that were consistently given honest assessments of their vehicle and allowed a choice to fit their budget as they saw it. My best example was a woman that stated that she was in college and had a slow flat. The tires were in bad shape and wear indicated a front end alignment and/or front-end problems. Suhail gave her a good assessment of the cause of her tire issues and recommended several corrections (including new tires, front-end repairs, and an alignment) of varying expense. He accurately described the repercussions of each choice as the woman did not appear to have a mechanical background. She chose the least expensive solution and he corrected what he could with the same fervor of the higher expense work. He did not pressure her for more expensive work. I always seek mechanics that have the knowledge to correctly assess an issue; provide several solutions and costs; and perform the same quality of work regardless of the choice. Suhail is one of these mechanics

I had a terrible experience at this shop. I brought my car in because it was having issues. It was having trouble starting, the check engine light was on, a lot of white smoke was coming out of the exhaust pipe, the engine was misfiring and overall was running rough. The shop diagnosed the issue as a bad fuel pump. I paid several hundred dollars to have a new fuel pump installed. When I picked up the car it was still having the exact same issues. I was told that there was a lot of fuel in the engine and that if I just let it be for while it would take care of itself. It never took care of itself. I had to bring the car back 2-3 more times and it eventually became clear that the fuel pump was not the issue and that the problem was misdiagnosed. Eventually they told me that there was a problem with the car's computer and that it was not something they could fix. The car is still having the exact same issues that it was having the day I brought it in for them to look at it. So in a nutshell, I paid several hundred dollars for them to put a new fuel pump into the car and that was clearly never the issue to begin with. The people who work there are polite and friendly but that doesn't change the fact I spent a lot of money for them to do work on the car that didn't fix the issue. I would have much rather if they told me they didn't know what the issue was and that they could not fix it to begin with. Installing the new fuel pump turned out to be a misdiagnosis and a waste of my money.

After lots of calling around to different establishments and being turned away each time, this was the first place that I could find to reconnect my truck's drive shaft after having it disconnected to haul it using a tow dolly. The employees were helpful and the work was reasonably priced!

Pulled a screw out of my tire. Made sure it wasn't leaking. Didn't charge me. Straight and honest and worth my business--right around the corner from NTB, who wanted to charge me $33.95!

Accommodating, fair, friendly and honest. I can't tell you how hard it is the trust mechanics but after several conversations I knew I could trust him. Thought my daughters car had major issues that had me so worried. Mustafa was great and even came and to meet me on a Sunday! Just so I could have the car towed that day for my convenience. I would and WILL be recommending S & I to my friends and family for repairs.
