Take the negative reviews for Safelite Metairie seriously. We needed a small windshield chip filled and new wiper blades. They asked for the make, model, year, and VIN of our vehicle when we scheduled our appointment. The technician arrived and said he couldn't put new wiper blades on. He spent less than 10 minutes with the vehicle before leaving. The chip in the windshield looks exactly the same. The chip feels exactly the same. Impossible to say that anything was done to the car at all. Except now there is a $270 charge on our credit card. "Just take our word for it" they say. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your time. Don't let them lie to you. Find another company. I blame Google that they will not let me rate Safelite Metairie zero stars...or negative stars.

Safelite came to my place of business and replaced my windshield. In the process they did not return to me my brake tag. As a result, I incurred a $25 fine with the city when I got my new brake tag. When I called Safelite to point out this matter, they did not seem to care at all. The combination of arrogance and ignorance is the worst trait any service company can possess. I have already found another glass replacement company for future (and there will be future) needs. Safelite, get bent for life.

Estimated over a week wait before they could get my glass replaced and it was one of the priciest options even then. Only reason it isnt a 1 star review is they did put window tape on for free and offered to replace it if needed before their glass would come in.

Terrible work and completely unorganized. They had too many vehicles scheduled and with all the chaos my car was hit while waiting for the windshield repair. Then after a 3 1/2 hour wait the manager told me his employee broke one of the air vents on the hood of my Hummer when replacing the windshield. He said they would order the air vent and replace it when it arrives. Two days later he called and said they couldn't find it. I found a vent within 5 minutes and replaced it myself. On the way home I heard wind coming in from around the windshield. The next day the rubber seal around the windshield came completely off while I was driving. I called the manager and he sent a tech to my home to fix it. The guy worked for an hour then knocked on my door to tell me he was leaving but would be back. Five hours later I called the manager to tell him no one returned. He sent two techs to my house. The windshield is on the car now and the black seal was replaced. I haven't driven it yet so I have no idea if this mess is resolved yet.

I had an unbelievably great experience today at Safelite. My rear view mirror had fallen off and I tried to fix it myself yet was not successful. Walked into Safelite, was immediately greeted by the manager and he asked me what I needed. After explaining, he asked to see it. After seeing he explained the options. Then he took my keys and asked that I wait in the waiting room and he would be back shortly. In 15 short minutes he was back and the mirror was reattached. Amazing work, professional service, and attention to my needs. I will recommend Safelite to everyone. Best service ever! Thank you!

BEWARE!! I went today to have my windshield replaced which took about 2 hours from my scheduled time. Upon inspection , I noticed my inspection sticker wasn't put back on. When I asked the technician about it, he said it had been damaged therefore they couldn't put it back. I immediately went to try to get a new inspection sticker within a timespan of 2 hours and was told it would be an additional $25 fee without the old sticker or a photo of it. After being on the phone with a representative of whom I thought was on site, I was told they no longer had the sticker and I could contact the office directly at a different number. I was given the names Savanna and Jason as the Tech. Upon calling the office Savanna answered and basically said the windshield was recycled (within 2 hours) and so they could not get me a picture nor give a refund for the $25 due to a sign being on the door. There is no way the glass just replaced a couple of hours before could not be located, nor a picture have been taken. They could have gone over that term and let me take a photo before removing the glass in that case. Needless to say, I won't be back.

Scheduled to get my windshield replaced Came to the location and they didn't have the molding.... They ordered the part..... scheduled a second time and they agreed to come to my house... called the day of just to say they still didn't have the part.... Took over a month. Finally bring my car in because they couldn't over ride the system like they did to book my second appointment. They told me it would take 2 hours. I've been waiting here for almost 3. I asked how much longer it would take and they told me another hour.... So it's taking almost 4 hours to replace a windshield I've been waiting over a month to have replaced. They still charged me over 500 with my insurance deductible....

AWFUL! What's the point of an appt time if your not even going to touch my car for 2 hours, then you call me while I'm in your waiting room and say, another 2 hours added on to that. How about you update people BEFORE so they're not sitting in your hot, depressing waiting room for no reason. And they can chose to reschedule or not use you. trust me, you'll regret coming here

Called about getting set up through a claim. Technician previously called and asked for me to verify coverage and provide my vin. When I called back, the person answering phones did not understand what I was talking about and had to keep asking the manager questions. No big deal if the manager would’ve been able to help or even jump on the phone themselves. But no, the person was “new to everything” and sat there in silence without even trying to help. Not to mention I called the store I was set up with and they told me I had to call the that store…….but once I gave the phone number they realized that it is the store I called. Lol. Waste of my time. I just wanted to set up a repair and verify with insurance. That’s it. They told me to contact my insurance company which is pointless since the insurance company directed me here. Then they literally hung up on me which is so frustrating because I had been dealing with this for an hour on the phone. I always try to be nice and professional no matter the circumstances, so I know that I was not being rude. The fact that they hung up is so unprofessional and says a lot. Because of their lack of knowledge on the subject they just didn’t feel like dealing with it. How professional! Will no longer be using this place and will be going with a different company. They just missed out on a $1500 sale.
