Bought $12K of kitchen appliances from Southland. The Uline ice machine had a freon leak out of the box and needed to be replaced. Southland sent a third-party technician to look at it and confirmed it had a leak out the box. Southland stated that we only had 3 days from the day we received the order to get a full replacement otherwise it would only be repaired. Have a whole house renovation going on appliances don't get installed right away so this 3-day warranty is not realistic. Now we have to get a brand-new ice machine repaired and by the way it's going to take 3 weeks to do. So out of the box brand new ice machine that never worked, and the customer has to get a repaired unit and wait 3 weeks for it. Not even given the opportunity for any other option. But of course, I had to pay full price for it. There are so many other options to buy appliances don't come here. Their prices weren't any better than anyone else's.

I paid in full for my facet set to be ordered from some place else on a Thursday. I called on Monday and had to leave a voice mail asking about the faucet and please return my call . Never happened. ! I called several days later to be told my salesperson is busy and would like to leave voicemail. I said I would not ! My previous voice mail was not returned. I needed to talk to her . She returned my call several hours later. I ask her about my faucet set and if it had come in ? She had forgotten all about it . Once she had my money she could care less . She had to call the business in Texas to check on it . She returned my call to tell me that it was still sitting on their que what ever that was and it would take several days to be processed and sent out . I informed her at this time I had not had running water in my kitchen for 2 weeks and her Comment was Oh My Goodness! Not I am sorry for not staying on top of this . Not for keeping one of those little Post a notes as a reminder that a faucet has been ordered and I need to monitor this . Sorry, I have not stayed in touch with you to keep you in formed . Sorry that I did not return your call . My plumber happens to be Lenny's Plumbing on Transcontinental and when I call them they return my call in a reasonable amount of time . Their work is excellent and reasonable. I will never ever use Southland again because of that one sales person. She made me feel so insignificant and unimportant. Infact , I didn't need most of the parts according to my plumbers that installed the faucet and sprayer . They used their covers to plug the 2 holes I would not be needing .

Outstanding selection. The showroom is loaded with tubs, lavatories, kitchen sets and toilets to die for. In Metairie close to vets and I-10. Great location and super people. Go check em out. Southland.

I have been in the process of renovating my bathroom. First went to Southland to buy a sink. Salesperson was rude and offered little help. I though maybe she was just having a bad day and gave the store a second chance returning to order a custom shower door. Again, very little assistance other than being told that "custom shower doors cost over $2,000!" I made the mistake of ordering the door from them and it took 5, yes 5 doors before it was correct. First one delivered was the wrong door completely, second one had a chip in it and the fixed panel didn't fit, 3rd door arrived to the shop damaged, 4th door delivered was not my door. It took 14 weeks from ordering to install. The warranty information was not included with the door and I have now made 3 calls and sent 3 emails without a response as to how to register my warranty since I do not have the paperwork. They remain unanswered. I would like to compliment the installers, Steve and Chris who were very polite and courteous and did an excellent job on the install.

Completely lost on plumbing, I found myself needed tremendous help. Mr. Nolan and Mrs. Diane broke everything down to kindergarten terms for me. I was please with all their recommendations.

Yeah I felt rushed and like I was an inconvenience when trying to explain my issue. Maybe it’s just certain types of people they cater to. Not sure but my money will be spent someplace else

Rude. Apparently a customer coming into buy things is an inconvenience to the 10 sales people sitting at the desks in the showroom.
