I called and reserved a storage unit, woman told me I would receive one month of free rent. When I went in to see the unit and asked about the one month free rent she literally responded with "yeah I'm not sure how that works" and left it at that. Told me they had the size I wanted available when I called but when I went in they only had the largest size available. Customer service is poor too, I was waiting to checkout with one item and the guy behind the counter decided to take a phone call instead of ringing me up, had to wait 20 minutes to be rung up for one item

Was overcharged for the trailer hitch because my car was not entered into the system correctly. My appointment time in the system didn’t match the time in their email. Go to a different location!

After a difficult drive from MI to LA towing a car behind a U-haul and then one of the straps coming off the tire of the car, we called U-haul in Metairie and talked to John. He put all calls on hold and talked us through getting the strap back on. Then my son came up with the brilliant idea that when we arrive we won't need to tow the car anymore. I can drive the U-haul and he can drive his car. Two hours later we arrive and not only did the next man assure me they have a silly rule about not being able to turn in the trailer but not the truck, but he sent me out to Charlie who was equally as nice. Then John comes out and greets us with, "u all made it". This man who never met us and talks to a multitude of ppl all day remembered talking to us and came out to greets us. Thank you

After a few weeks of talking with the people at this U-HAUL MOVING AND STORAGE....... my parts were ordered. An appointment was set for the install of the hitch system. The appointment was cancelled because the installer didn't show up at work. Rescheduled, I brought my vehicle there at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I had no ride to pick me up, so stood around and waited. I walked about outside and could see the installer.....playing on his phone.... not working on my vehicle. Around 9:00 a.m. the installer approached me, handed me my FOB...said some intelligible words and walked off. I drove back home. I felt something was not right, got under the vehicle and discovered one bold required to be torqued at 76 pounds.... didn't even have a nut on it.... it was just dangling. I noticed as well that the wiring harness, was hanging loose as well. Inspecting, I saw the bundle had not been re-secured to the factory holding clip I tried, but could not hook it up without undoing the whole bundle. I headed back to UHAUL... called in route.... The INSTALLER was very PISSED when I said the bolt was NOT SECURED AS IT SHOULD BE AND THAT THE WIRING BUNDLE WAS THE SAME. I also asked why the connector was just looped on a security chain opening...instead of being installed in a proper bracket? He told me the order did not call for that bracket so wasn't put on. During my talks before all this, I was assured there would be a secure placement of that connector. The installer put my vehicle back up on his rack.... proceeded to "work" on it.... a short time later... he handed me my FOB and said..." I removed the system...you can leave now." At no time was I informed the entire installation would be removed and gave no such permission. I asked for the manager, and was given a card with his name and number... I called Brad Lambert.... who informed me... my vehicle could only be worked on for the installation by FORD. BUT IT WAS HE WHO MADE THE APPOINTMENT AND ORDERED THE PARTS FOR MY VEHICLE. I wonder...why did the system get almost fully installed, but just because I wanted it done right... the installer got PISSED AT ME???? I tried to tell Lambert, I watched UHAUL on YouTube install the very package and stipulated every point of the install. Lambert was openly lying to me...and informed me as well...HE told the installer to remove the hitch system!! BY HIS ORDER.... still without MY PERMISSION. NOW they may have cost me the travel trailer I was trying to buy. U-HAUL Moving and Storage is a bunch of shysters and BAD ATTITUDE FLAWED INDIVIDUALS!!! The business should close if that's all the respect and regard they have for PAID CUSTOMERS!!! ROTTEN EXPERIENCE WITH ROTTEN PEOPLE....... NEVER GO THERE OR EVER RECCOMMEND THIS CRAPPY PLACE.

Do not rent from here... very unprofessional.. I have made two reservations that didn't work out because they didn't have the truck I reserved two days prior!! On the third attempt I received a call at 7am letting me know my third Reston as my going to be available until 3:30pm.. utterly useless!! Save the disappointment and book elsewhere.

They are so slow, even if they have two employees working in the front. If you go there just to buy a box, and someone is checking out a vehicle ahead of you, they make you wait the 20 minutes that that process takes just so you can buy your box. This is completely illogical. Open another register! People have places to go and things to do.

If you chose this UHaul, expect to be yelled at, probably cursed out. I had the bad luck of having to go three times this week. There's no obvious place to park. When you park in a space you will get yelled at. They will not help you even if you have stuff to load or unload. You will be treated badly. You won't get everything you ordered. An employee said to a room full of customers, the next customer who comes in thinking his Sh-t doesn't stink better watch out." The owner yelled at a customer who was upset that a different employee cursed her out. Don't go!!!

Good value however I recommend that you do not rent from this location without downloading the U-Haul app and then go through the entire process including check in online. If you have to wait for help inside the store to check in you can plan on waiting in line. The employee I saw did not look up from their computer screen or acknowledge the people waiting to check in. After I finally checked in, the truck was in the ready area but no one was present to go over how to use or drive a vehicle like this. I just got in and drive away. The return process went smoothly

Zero prior notice to my reservation being sent to another store and lead across the city on a chase. Never again... ever. Just rent a truck from any place else. Better service and the charge is there all at once. Less hidden fees.

Employees do not wear masks which is a parish mandate. This location advertised a touch less and easy covid friendly process but this was far from what we experienced. We had to go inside, wait in line and then the guy hooking our trailer up did not wear a mask. Terribly disappointed.

Great place and service from employees to get what you need for moving. I will definitely go back when I move.
