On yesterday, I went to this Dollar General and the cashier (who I think is the manager) refused to take my 20 dollar bill becuase she said "it did not feel right!" I had just received two-twenty dollar bills as a "cash back" from Walmart. One of those bills is what I was trying to spend at this store. I asked her "don't you have a marker that you can use to check it?" She kept saying, "it does not feel right!" As soon as I gave her my money she held it up in the air a few times, and then she proceeded to say it does not feel right! She even asked me to feel it! This was so embarrassing!!! I was so upset!!!! I told her to just give me my money back and I will go somewhere else. I went to another Dollar General and they took my money without any issues!! I would not have had a problem if she used a marker or the machine (that other Dollar General stores have) and it showed that the money was counterfeit. If that was the case, I would have taken it back to Walmart, but to say it does not "feel right" and refuse to take my money was an insult!!! I would hate to think it was for other reasons!!! There should be procedures in place for this type of situation and "it does not feel right" should not be one of them!! I have contacted the corporate office. I don't know if any thing will be done about it, but I'm not done with the issue!!! THIS WAS VERY EMBARRASSING!!!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I'M VERY UPSET ABOUT IT!!!!!

I always come over to this Dollar General because it is convenient and close. The place is often dirty and unorganized. The employees are respectful but not always present if I need help or want to purchase goods. The self-checkout breaks down a lot. The selection of products is limited, which makes sense for a smaller store. I'll keep coming for the sake of convenience.
