The Director and his staff has helped me tremendously. The reason I was homeless was because of drug addiction. They found me a rehab to get clean and sober. The program is designed to make changes to avoid homelessness. They push their clients to make responsible choices to avoid being homeless which got them there in the first place. I am truly grateful for Iberia Homeless. They helped change my life.

It seems that the only person that is running the shelter is the director. There was supposedly to be a board of directors, but I have never seen them. But nevertheless, its dam near empty most weeks, with 2 people staying there. There are peak times where you get 8 or 9 people, but on average you get 4. There are as many as 30 beds. But they never get filled. My guess that everyone goes to Lafayette shelter or they move to New Orleans/Baton Rouge Shelters.
