Showed up, they knew i was coming and had my parts set aside.
The owner and his son are old school car guys from way back. They’ve been in business for over 60 years. They talked with me for a bit, shared some old secrets and tips. Really made me feel at home.
The water pump and housing worked great on my 454.

Eben gave me some lagniappe! I brought it in for undercarriage work but he also pulled out the huge crumpling I had in a rear corner i hadn't asked him to fix for no extra charge. Love being able to find excellent businesses in my neighborhood.”

“I needed a relatively simple repair done (replace thermostat) so I stopped at Smiling Chuck's yesterday afternoon, based on the recommendation of others. I enjoyed chatting with Chuck for a while. He said I could bring the car in the next morning and he would get it done. I was there at 8am this morning and he called me at 11am to let me know I could come pick the car up. Quick, good price, good folks. I'll be back.”

“My car had trouble and I thought it may be the battery yet it could have been many issues. I read that AutoZone can run a test for free & a very nice man performed the test, confirmed the problem and installed a new battery all within 15 minutes. Originally I was going to try and run to the Subaru dealership and probably I would have been charged about $300. to do some tests and then the cost of the battery! AutoZone saved me time and money and I appreciate all the help I received. The guys are awesome there. Also I'm a woman and I'm pretty independent but sometimes I could use some help from someone knowledgeable in their field. (I'm using my son's computer so that's why it says Jeremiah)! “Had a blowout while driving down Tchoupitoulas Street today. The owner of the shop saw my family and I in distress. He flagged us into his shop. In the rain, thunder, and lightning, as Tornado Warning Alerts blared on my phone, the owner stood in the middle of the road and stopped traffic for us to turn into his shop. After learning the tire was under warranty, the owner/mechanic grabbed the spare out of the trunk and fixed it for next to nothing. The service was great. As we left The Shop, the owner said "God is on you side!" Yes sir, I believe he was.”
