Super comfortable bed!! Some rooms do not have views from the window unless you call a plain wall a view. Looks like a very safe area. The staff is very friendly and give good suggestions. The pet policy is not as crazy as the other hotels from the area. And ofc you’ll have to pay for Parking like every other place in NOLA

Just had second stay at the Blake Hotel on St. Charles in New Orleans after completing a carribean cruise. Great location - a few blocks from Bourbon St. where live music from Country Rock, Jazz, Blues or Pop can be heard from noon through the night. Ruben (like the sandwich as he says) who manages the front desk was always helpful. All the staff were genuinely cheerful and responded quickly to any request. I look forward to many more stays there and visiting the incomparable city of New Orleans!Nearby activities: Live music variety of restaurants and shopping to keep you busy.Walkability: Walking distance to Bourbon St, easy access to the St.Charles trolley and Canal St. trolley which goes to the Riverwalk Mall off the Mississippi River.

Great location, friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and the location was GREAT! The front desk guy helped me order food late at night! Above and beyond service! I would definitely stay here again.

The ROOMS were small and dirty. The baseboards looked as if they had never been cleaned with thick layers of dust there were cobwebs of dust in the room, the cabinet that the fridge was in was pulled out to be even with the wall with trash thrown behind it and left. The windows were covered in fingerprints. If you get a room close to the elevator, be prepared to hear it and the people in it at all hours as there is basically no noise barrier to the rooms. The SERVICE is basically non existent we went down to the front desk in the middle of the night and there was nobody to be found, called and text the number given when checked in no reply till the next day long after we checked out. Having nobody at the desk also means that you can not purchase anything like snacks or drinks without leaving the hotel and walking like .5 miles to a store as the front desk is the only place to make a purchase as there are no vending machines or any other areas except the restaurant which is closed at this time to get anything like that. Also, when you call to book a room, the front desk will tell you to book via 3rd party rather than directly with the hotel. Doing this will also leave you paying an additional hotel fee when you get to the hotel along with an additional deposit for the room so be prepared for those additional charges when you check in if they have you book via 3rd party as the website i used to book did not list the additional charges for using 3rd party booking. LOCATION is in a good spot but does have limited street parking, so you will need to park in the hotel garage at an additional cost per night.Rooms: Small and dirty in need of a deep cleaning.Nearby activities: The hotel is only a few blocks from the French quarterFood & drinks: They have a small restaurant in the building but not open at all hours they do not have any complimentary breakfast or drinks just the restaurant the front desk has a snack counter but even that has limited hours

They only issue I had was with the phone cord coming loose so the front desk could not hear me and TV remote not working. The first one would do volume and power but not change channels. The second one would change channels but not so the volume or power off. Minor issues. lol. Reuben was great at the front desk.

Five of us had three rooms. We all had positive experiences, all rooms were clean, beds comfy, however, not crazy about the pillows. Front desk, staff, Rubin, and Mignon, were so friendly and helpful. Southern hospitality at its finest! Great location, great price. Restaurant was not affiliated with the hotel but the food was really good and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be there again.

Hotel was clean, customer service was good. There is a property tax and deposit at check-in. The one elevator was out of order. Our air conditioning wasn't working and it was 81 degrees but they fixed it. During the night it went out again and we got it to work in the morning. Parking at the hotel is $50, paid $40 a block away. Great location. Hotel would be better with renovations. Restaurant attached to the hotel is nice, a little pricey.

Blake Hotel is a nice, tall, hotel on historic Lafayette Square in downtown New Orleans. I stayed in a room on the 10th floor. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I could barely hear the historic Street Car ? that passes by the hotel front door routinely. It was not so loud that it would wake me up, or interrupt a phone call, or watching a TV show. The staff at the front desk was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The lobby was very clean, comfortable, and well organized. The on site restaurant, Cafe on the Square, was open and people were eating at it. I would stay at this hotel again on future visit.Walkability: In the heart of downtown area, on a street car line.Food & drinks: Restaurant on site, and 24 hour access to snacks for sale at front desk

It is a nightmare to open the room door. The room isn’t clean and smell like mold. I can’t make the shower faucet to work and the bathroom ceiling is not in good condition. The windows are dirty and curtains as well. The bed sheets are very old and smelly. I am not satisfied with my stay at all. And I just got here today. On the other hand, the front desk staff was very nice. The hotel needs to invest in remodeling. Also, the carpet is very dirty.

Water doesn’t get hot, lobby always smells like a gas station bathroom.Valet that you’re basically forced to pay for let the battery in my brand new truck die, don’t even know how that’s possible.

We have stayed at this place three times. The first time was the best. The third time was our last. The front desk lady was awesome. The rooms we had were dirty and bathroom walls look as though no one has washed them in years. Very very gruby. Bedding was ripped the second visit. Third and last visit there were very dirty hallways and we had to move rooms. Our first one was so dirty. Poop or chocolate on the bathroom walls and door. No hand soap. But again the front desk lady was so kind. Loby bathrooms stunk. Our second room for the night was on the 9th floor. Hallway was super hot room was cool. Shower was a joke. Very little pressure. You need a tutorial on how to get hot water out of those faucets. They need updating and a deep clean. .mold is growing on the celings .

There’s NO free parking although the website said so. Valet parking is $50/night and you need to wait for a long while if you need anything from your car. There’s no hair dryer, and the microwave in my room was broken.

Room was clean, bathroom was clean that's where the positive side stops...Tried to take the stairs just to find a person with a syringe stuck in their arm at the bottom of the stairs. Went and breakfast thought all went well till I found that the wait staff had written in their own tip on my receipt after I marked it out and left cash instead, and I marked it out to where it was no longer legible but somehow they wrote in their own tip and I got charged for it. They definitely aren't the cheapest hotel in the area and they list several accommodations but overall it's just not worth staying here I was very disappointed on my trip. Overall the location is good and the room was all right for the price. Only problem I had with my room was having to go knock on the people next door at 3:00 a.m. and asked them to keep it down a little bit with their passionate love making that could be very very well heard through the wall

In New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center working Alicia Keys Sunday then Shania Twain show Monday. Setting up major arena concerts is extremely hard work! We started at 7 a.m. till 4 p.m. I checked into the room after 4 and could not believe how clean, cool, comfortable and quiet this room was for the rate I paid!! After a nice shower some good food and a quick nap, it was time to go back to work until 2am. The room was stocked with a very cold refrigerator coffee maker and microwave. Quick bite to eat another shower asleep by 3a up at 7a for the Shania Twain show. The location couldn't have been much better. The sausage egg and cheese sandwich for breakfast and a big cup of coffee from the onsite restaurant helped get another long 12 hr day off to a good start. The location was perfect. Next time I'm in New Orleans I'm requesting the same room at the Blake Hotel. ?⚜️✨??☠️✈️

Hotel and room is horrible! Room was not ready for check in at 4pm. Once we entered the room we find out there was no cable, then it was all down hill from there. The tub is clogged, housekeeping left us with a holely towel, the ceiling is peeling from water damage and the hallways are not on filthy but full of mold! And since we booked through a 3rd party, they refused to assist us. Horrible hotel and service. Will never stay here again.
