I have observed a marked improvement in the pharmacy. Ms. Sandy has brought a level of professionalism not seen before at this location. I picked up my prescription today in the drive thru and was greeted promptly. I was told someone would be with me. The young lady who came to the window was pleasant and helpful. I am so happy to see this transformation at our New Orleans east location! Kudos to this team.

Called in today 09/12/2023 2:51pm with a question. The young lady that answered the phone wasn’t pleasant at all. I greeted her. She did not greet me back. She doesn’t have any manners she answered the phone as if she was on her personal cell phone. She used words such as “Uh huh” when I said “Ok, Thank You! have a nice day” what type of pharmacy store is this. Learn to be professional!

Monday, October 02, 2023:To: CEO Ms. Karen S. Lynch:The manager Katina or Katrina at the CVS store located at 5902 Read Boulevard is horrible because she bragged to me, on a previous occasion, about hiding in the back of the store and letting her staff do all the workShe had to work the register on Monday October 02, 2023 and needed assistance with a customer who was using a coupon. Katrina/Katina did not have a clue on how to apply the coupon.Many times you walk in this CVS store and no one is at the register and you literally have call out loud, hello,hello,hello (when you want to check out).In addition, I showed my valid drivers license for a purchase but covered my address. I showed her assistant my face, date of birth, drivers license ID number; everything but my address. And, the manager Katrina (dark skin black lady with the pink glasses) stopped the $70 purchase.Walgreens had no issues making the sale. Go Walgreens and go Walgreens for always having someone at the register who greets patrons.Katrina would probably card a 80 years old. I won’t say my age though.This store manager, located at 5902 Read Boulevard in New Orleans East, is ignorant, lacks professionalism and needs retraining.

Pharmacy employees are short, uncourteous, and overall unpleasant. The experience I received at the drive-thru on 9/21/23 @ 1:14 p.m. by a black female employee was appalling. I requested an Rx's availability and was not given any helpful information. The employee didn't offer any suggestions when I asked if it could be attained at one of their other locations. She yelled, " I can't do that! " and "hung" up before I could ask further. I dislike having to leave my neighborhood's pharmacy but they do not deserve business. This employee needs customer service training.

I went to this store twice once at 7:37 and again at 7:41 they had the shutters halfway down. I told the guy y’all close at 8 and he refuse to let me get one thing. Why is the closing hours at 8 if your closing before that. Won’t shop here anymore

This store is a very unprofessional one. I never can get the pharmacy on the phone. I was in the store this morning Monday (7/17/2023) to check on a prescription that had been there for a week. I went home and called the store I was on hold for 1 hour and 24 minutes and no one answered the phone. I called customer service to report this issue. I hope that this issue will be addressed for the better.

I usually use the Walgreens on read and Morrison but now I have to use CVS due to insurance. My experience was so pleasant and my medication didn't take long after being transferred. The technician Desiree went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get it from the other store, then she even had my over the counter medication rubber banned around the prescription.

UPDATE In past reviews: I'd consistently given this location one star for various incidents having to do with poor customer service. And it's still bad. They may or may not open on time, pharmacy drive up seems to be permanent closed. Not worth the bother.A previous review: Service at this location's pharmacy has gone to h-------- in a handbasket in the last six months. Tonight I walked up to their counter, with three women working behind the desk and no other customers waiting. One was attending to a customer at the drive up, while the other two worked computers, completely ignoring me. Totally inconsiderate.I waited a bit, while neither even looked up, then walked out.

Horrible and rude service. I sent an email to corporate about Michelle the pharmacist who hung up on me for whatever reason instead of being a grown woman and just saying what I had to call back and still ask. After this months script I will be taking my business to another location since they are the only ones locally I can get it from.

Pitiful that the drive thru is very seldom open and even worst I went last Friday and the pharmacy was closed because they didn’t have a pharmacist on premises.
