I received an email my membership was past due and was threatened with collections. I don't live in New Orleans and never stepped foot into this place. I called the number on the email and the man was so rude/threatening. I told him to file the collection today as I refuse to be bullied. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and will proceed with all legal avenues. Stay away from this business and their unprofessional bully tactics.

Staff at this location are incredibly rude. Came in this afternoon at 4:45 to grab a quick shower before our next appointment. RAY decided he "didn't want to risk staying open past 5" and tried to refuse entry. We just wanted a towel to rinse off quickly. RAY then tried to tell us we were required to work out if we wanted to use the shower. Excuse me? Show me where it says in the membership agreement we're required to work out to use the facilities. If I want to go in and stretch out or sit in the sauna for a few minutes, as paying members, we're within our rights to do this. RAY was on a major power trip and tried to refuse entry just because he felt lazy. If this was a white manager refusing entry to a black kid, it would be front page news and this gym would be sued into bankruptcy. It is illegal to refuse entry to a paying member while you're still open. I have always been polite, clean, and never created an extra minute of work for anyone at this gym. Hostile staff like RAY who are on a power trip should find another job rather than hassling customers, otherwise, you will wind up in court.

Great gym for folks visiting New Orleans, came here a few times during a work trip. Passes are affordable, there are plenty of lockers, and the space is well maintained and clean.

OLD SCHOOL, no frills. In town and want a workout with some iron. This is the place. In and out, went around 3 on a Wednesday. Couple of people in there, 16 and some change for the day pass. Worked out, used the restroom, has an aerobics area, treadmills. Good gym, friendly people. Would definitely use again when back in town.

They have no problem taking your money but when it comes to letting you use the gym, oooh, let's talk. Had a 30 min conversation with a very nice person. They say my money was good enough to take for 2 months straight but my key NEVER WORKED!! Been going here years didn't even pause my subscription for the pandemic. Please ignore my other 5 star reviews. That was when they let me work out

I'm bad about names, but the staff was very helpful & accommodating. I wasn't expecting to be here long enough to get a 2nd workout in, but here I am. I LOVE the old school Nautilus pullover machine, maybe it's nostalgia, maybe it's that I'm super close to being able to do the entire stack, either way, it's one of the most underrated & effective back exercises. I'm trying to start doing a different workout style with High Intensity Training, Mike Mentzer Rest Pause approach, & it requires assistance from either a training partner, friendly gym goer, or staff.Staff & a friendly gym goer hooked me up today so I could hit the negative repetitions on the pullover machine. The gym is clean, it has everything you would need to get a good workout in. They also took care of me with a reduced rate as a veteran, that's always appreciated, especially with our current economy.Good to have options for when I come to town, glad I shopped around to find a spot close to everything with good folks working & working out there!

Really nice gym! I was in town for a week so their pass system is great. The equipment is old fashion but reallycomplete (better than many gyms), lots of space and weights, never crowed. The staff are super friendly, will definitely return when I come again in Nola!!

I didn't go to this gym, but yesterday I was heading to the restroom in the hallway next to the gym by the food court. It was around 11:30am and the mall didn't open till noon. I noticed a suspicious man at the end of the hall leaning on the wall looking into a glass that showed where the fitness classes take place. There was a class taking place at the time and there was mostly women in the class. The glass is mostly frosted so it's difficult to see in but on the edges of the glass it's clear and you can peek in. The man was right by the Womens restroom and made me feel uneasy and was telling my husband and I the restroom was right in front of us but that was only the Mens restroom. I decided not to go and wait on my husband. As I was waiting, I was watching this man and noticed he was peeking into the fitness class looking at the women and touching himself inappropriately. He noticed I was watching him and abruptly left. I went inside the gym to tell the person at the front desk. He appeared to be one of the owners. He told me the class is walled off and people cannot look inside. And I explained to him it's frosted glass with clear edges so you can see in. I did say the guy left and the person responded "ok as long as he left". Personally I didn't feel like he cared that much. If I was attending that class and saw that man outside doing that I would feel violated. What if I wasn't there and the guy stayed the whole time and followed those women to their cars/homes? The man that left eventually came around near me to pick up his gloves he left on a table and was looking at me. He then proceeded down the escalators and continued looking at me. I noticed he didn't have his long jacket covering him this time. I think that glass needs to be covered and people should be on the lookout for people peeping in.

If you're a tourist finding yourself feeling guilty from over indulging in all the amazing Cajun/creole dishes, every type of oyster served, or the deep-fried beignets and feel the need to repent all those calories, this place is perfect for out-of-town fitness enthusiasts. Very often I find the hotels I stay at have fitness centers that lack the barbells, dumbbells, and overall gym equipment that suit my needs for a serious workout. The Downtown Fitness Center was conveniently located 2 blocks away from my hotel and the brisk walk helped start my warm-up prior to my workout. A drop-in workout will cost $15 and will give you access to all the gym equipment and locker room. The benches, power racks, and Nautilus equipment appear outdated but are kept in very good condition. If you know your way around a gym, you'll have no problems putting together a very good workout for the effort you put in. The cardio equipment have multiple televisions to keep you entertained. During my trip, I visited here 3 times and was able to put together some great workouts (chest-day, back-day, leg-day). If you find your hotel gym less than desirable for you to move some heavy weight, I highly recommend The Downtown Fitness Center to be your savior and give you the workout sweat you desire.

Just what I needed to get my workout done while down here on a vacation. Daily pass is spot on!
