We stayed her between 12/6-12/8 and the night of 12/7 another guest was smoking pot in their room, fire alarms went off for about 2 hours, even with the help from the fire department they couldn’t turn them off, had to stay in our jeep until they finally went off, wasn’t even offered a discount on the room when we checked out and they had to know all the guests weren’t happy.

Price isn’t terrible, location is quiet, room was passably clean. The lady at the front desk is extremely rude. Went to check in, she was sitting down in front of a computer watching a show and playing on her phone. I stood where she could see me and she ignored me completely for close to 5 minutes. She continued to look at the computer screen and said “last name” without looking at me at all. I asked if she was talking to me, and she said yes with a chip on her shoulder. She shoved papers at me, and threw my card key at me as well. I hope the hotel owner is reading these comments and can do something about this lady. I will stay through my trip, but I will never be back to this hotel.

Excellent value for money and great service here too.
It's also a great location for anyone with a car.
The area around here is beautiful.

Night attendant was a little skimpy and cheapish when asked for extra coffee packs but morning staff were very accommodating when they responded to my requests..

Great place to stay in New Orleans. The staff were very knowledgeable of the area, and help with any issues we had.

Absolutely garbage experience.
Service: Front desk ladies act like every single thing is an inconvenience, like asking to get your room key fixed because EVERY SINGLE DAY OF OUR 1 WEEK STAY THE ROOM KEYS JUST STOPPED WORKING. God forbid they have to do their jobs. Also we chose a hotel over an Airbnb so we would have room service. Room service took one of our comforters from our 2 bed room, and the desk workers refused to give us another and said they keep none on site. The fire alarm went off almost every day, even though the workers would yell down the hallway that nothing was wrong.
Room: Smells musty, extremely humid, A/C is either way too cold or just stops working. The rooms look 100x nicer online. There’s stains on literally every towel and blanket, which they didn’t replace once. Absolutely zero housekeeping service (besides when they took our comforters).
Location: Actually a decent location to everything, but after the customer service being so bad, I literally cannot bring myself to give this anything more than 1 star. I’d give it negative if I could.
It’s a cheap hotel, so I wasn’t expecting top notch service or anything, but I think I would’ve rather stayed in a motel 6 and gotten bed bugs.

Absolutely vile place. Half the carpet floor in my room was soaking wet. Used, soaked towels all over the floor, probably left there to try to soak up whatever was leaking, which didn't work. The hotel boasts a kitchenette, but the burners in my room were filthy and rusted to the point where I didn't feel safe to use the kitchenette. The fridge was similarly gross and caked in something brown on the outside. There were dead roaches all over the kitchenette area as well, and it looked like the place had been recently treated with diatomaceous earth or something similar. I did not see any bed bugs thankfully but it would've been nice if my room had 0 dead bugs in it.
This place also has no elevator, which is a major issue of its own. I assume the wheelchair accessible rooms must be on the first floor, but the lack of an elevator is still really inconvenient and limiting. Not sure how it's even legal, actually.
I ended up still staying the night here because I booked through Expedia and figured it'd take forever to get refunded, plus the location + free parking was amazing for the price to book the room. If you just need somewhere safe to stow your things and park your car, this place will do the trick, but you're risking a pretty nasty experience.
If you're easily grossed out and wouldn't be able to sleep in nasty, damp conditions, do not book this place.

Staff was friendly! Stay and cruise means up to 7 days of parking while you're on your cruise

There's an awesome pool right across the street from the hotel. Me and my daughter stayed at federal city inn and suites for two months in 2023. We were comfortable. The staff were friendly. And they kept our room clean. I would recommend them to anyone in the New Orleans area.

You can't beat the price or the safety. The only thing that was a detractor was the little dampish odor, but that can't really be helped because of the humidity in New Orleans. It was nothing that a spray from disinfectant couldn't help.

It was great for the price.
Very quiet.
A little bit dirty and the staff is never available.
But that being said,I will be staying again in the future.
Compared to other rooms in the $100 a night price range...this was definitely the least sketchy.

The desk was never manned. When we first walked in the desk receptionist was nowhere to be found. She showed up and starting fooling with paperwork, totally ignoring those who were waiting.
After check in we went to our rooms. There were 3 families in our group and we each had a room. As soon as we walked in we went straight back to the desk to check out. The room was filthy. The tub was peeling. It is hard to describe but the places that were peeling up were sharp. They told us that they would charge us for the night if we left right away. We stayed but we're very unhappy about the condition of the room. The 2 other rooms were even worse. Water was leaking from the refrigerator in one room. The curtains were torn and hanging down. Their tubs were also peeling. I have pictures of the filth on the floor in the bathroom. Didn't look like they ever mopped. I would not recommend ths hotel.

Rooms are a bit dated but it’s a nice property that was formally a Navy Lodge. Overall not bad for the price and in great proximity to the Algiers Ferry to get you downtown.
