Dropped off my tire (that had a nail in it) before work to get it repaired as not to be driving too long on the spare. They were unable to repair it so I had to get a new one. When I returned they told me where the tire was sitting. I surprisingly said “you won’t put it back on?” He said it would be quite a wait for that. I realize I’m not the only customer of the day but with the tools they have it would’ve only taken a few minutes. Now I have to find someone to change the tire for me as I’m not strong enough to do it myself.

I wish I'd checked Yelp, as their reviews are awful there. This shop failed me in three different ways:1) the guys can't drive a stick shift. I understand not everyone can, but I asked the guy repeatedly to please stop, please let me do it, please stop hamfisting my car and he just refused. He sat there with the window closed jamming my car into gear as it made awful noises while I pleaded for him to stop. Despite that, I didn't leave a bad review.2) the valve stem they installed went bad within 50 miles. I came out just a couple of days later to a tire completely flat in the street. Poor quality parts or workmanship? Your call, but the hubcap completely covers the valve stem, so it wasn't broken by any external trauma. Despite that, I didn't leave a bad review.3) today I went out to pull another wheel off and the bolts are on so tight they were impossible to remove with any of my regular wrenches. I had to go buy the longest breaker bar in the store. The torque on these wheels is only about 66 ft-lbs, so now I'm worried if the hub has been damaged. Lazy, damaging work. So here I am.Take your business elsewhere, these guys just don't care. It's amazing how much damage they did when all they had to do was mount a set of tires.

I wish I could rate it zero stars. Do NOT ever go to this place. Items were taken out of my vehicle and when I asked the store manager about it she was incredibly RUDE. She would not inform me who the mechanic was that worked on my vehicle. Even went as far as telling me IM LYING!! I've had great experiences with Firestone but this particular store is a complete JOKE. Do NOT go here unless you want to be ripped off or have items stolen.

I went to this location, General Degual location, for a oil change, tires, diagnostic test, suspension inspection and check engine light. I received 4 tires that I believe at least 2 are defected and no other work was done. After purchasing the tires I was informed that there would be no warranty on them! I've paid over $800 for defected tires with no warranty. I was told I needed motor mounts, rear suspension work etc.. None of that was true and the manager is RUDE!Update: I learned the tires weren't defected after I brought my car to the Firestone at the Lapalco location. My wheels weren't properly balanced and were missing at least 2 pounds of balancing weights.I called corporate about my experience at the General degual location, spoke with someone that listened to my complaint then said that the area manager was going to call me within 48 hours, it's been a week! I'm going to avoid the Algeris location if I ever use Firestone again and directly go to the Lapalco office. The people who assisted me on Lapalco Blvd were, I believe Shay, Jay and a technician that explained what issues I was having with my car. Good, Great service at Lapalco ,Thanks team!

Believe the bad reviews. Bridjet was very unprofessional, unhelpful, rude. I previously call in and told them I needed my tires rotated. I also requested tires for my F-250. I waited for a week for my tires to be delivered to the store. I made it there today and they told me they can’t work on the tires because they don’t have a lift for the truck. I’ve been to the most ‘rinckie dink’ tires shop and they rotated the tires with no hesitation. You can easily put 4 jacks underneath the car and rotate the tires, super easy! They didn’t want to do it, not that they couldn’t. These people here are very lazy. I wish they would of never told me to come in, since they know they don’t work on f-250 trucks.

They will try to scam you. I went in and they refused to do the repair I asked on top of charging overpriced insurance i didnt even ask for. Then they said i need to fix parts that werent broken (My car literally had just come out a different shop) for an extra $7,000 dollars. I left and went to a local mechanic and got my car fixed for $400.

Hurry take your Nissan Murano to the dealer to replace the CVT faulty defective transmission for FREE or REDUCED prices! It's a manufacturer defect. The extension applied to all Nissan vehicles manufactured between 2003 and 2010 equipped with a continuously variable transmission. This extension doubled the original powertrain warranty from five years or 60,000 miles up to 10 years or 120,000 miles. This extension is fully transferrable to new owners should the original owner sell the vehicle. Owners are not required to do anything. Should a problem with your continuously variable transmission arise simply bring your vehicle to a Nissan repair facility and they will handle everything.Another step Nissan took was to reimburse owners who had already paid for any continuously variable transmission repairs that would be covered by this new warranty, even if they had sold their Nissan. Owners just need to download the reimbursement form and follow the instructions. Additionally, Nissan reduced the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of a new continuously variable transmission and any affected parts to further help those who might need repairs after this extended warranty period expires.

Negative.. I went for an alignment and 10minutes in to having my car lifted I was called to look at something. First the mechanic said my sway bar links are bad. I said impossible because they are less than 3 months old. Then he proceeds to say you have a bad power steering leak that he failed to locate. I told him in the 3 yrs I had the car I never had a leak or had put fluid in. He says your tire rod ends are bad and need to be replaced. I told him I replaced them the day before which is why I was there for an alignment. So I get to the desk and a lady with white short hair gave me a bill for over $,$4,000. She said the rack needed to be replaced which was a lie. She put $ 25.00 wipers on the list plus labor. She added the sway bar links anyway and tried to charge $181 each. I explained to her that there is no way. I'm paying for parts that didn't need to be replaced and she was jacking up the prices. She got rude and said 3x I only charge for the parts we can get. I said well your charging me for things that don't need to be replaced. She got quiet and before saying in so many words she was saying she was done. Get home and called a mobile mechanic and he said nothing is wrong with the rack and the tie rod end was loose and replaced a wheel hub. All less than 300. Avoid this place at all cost. They were investigated in California for severely over charging and shady work to the point were they were almost banned from doing business in the state. I called back and informed the woman and she hung up on me. Next call is to corporate

I write this scathing review to warn others about the deplorable experience my elderly aunt endured at Firestone Complete Auto Care located at 3665 General De Gaulle Drive in New Orleans. This establishment took advantage of her age, gender, and vulnerability, leaving her with unnecessary repairs, exorbitant costs, and an inoperable car. The abhorrent behavior of the staff, particularly the manager Tracy O., only further compounds the disgust I feel towards this establishment. My aunt, an 83-year-old woman, took her 2007 Nissan Murano with a mere 44,241 miles on it to Firestone for a routine check-up ahead of the hurricane season. There were no issues with the car prior to this visit. Shockingly, Firestone proceeded to charge her an exorbitant $4,340 for a laundry list of unnecessary repairs and exorbitant labor costs. It is clear that they saw an opportunity to exploit her trust and lack of automotive knowledge. The ordeal worsened when, just two weeks later, the car ceased to function entirely. In desperation, we returned to Firestone, hoping for their expertise to rectify the issue. However, we were informed that they do not work on transmissions, leaving my aunt in a state of utter despair and without a car. The incompetence displayed by Firestone is unacceptable, and their refusal to take responsibility for their actions is despicable. In an attempt to seek justice, we consulted another licensed mechanic to evaluate the charges and repairs conducted by Firestone. This mechanic even took the initiative to negotiate on my aunt's behalf directly with Firestone, but their efforts fell on deaf ears. Tracy O., the manager at Firestone, demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism and empathy. She was rude to all parties involved and even had the audacity to hang up on both myself and my aunt on separate occasions. This behavior is not only disrespectful but also reflective of the complete lack of accountability within this establishment. On the receipt, it is stated that Firestone allegedly belongs to Automotive Service Excellence and the Motorist Assurance Program. It is my intention to contact these organizations to report the unethical practices and mistreatment my aunt endured at the hands of Firestone. Furthermore, I will not hesitate to escalate this matter to Firestone's corporate headquarters and file a complaint with the attorney general for consumer affairs. It is crucial that such exploitation and dishonesty are brought to light and that the exploitation of women and the elderly won't be tolerated. To conclude, I implore anyone reading this review to heed my warning and avoid Firestone Complete Auto Care at 3665 General De Gaulle Drive in New Orleans. Their actions demonstrate a complete lack of integrity and an unwavering commitment to exploiting vulnerable individuals. Let my aunt's unfortunate experience serve as a reminder to always be vigilant and cautious when seeking automotive services.
