Highly disappointed. When I opened my checking account with Kayla a few years ago she welcomed me with open arms and said thank you for being a HERO because I was becoming an EMT. Now that I am an EMT starting my own LLC where I will be a Life Coach for other individuals like myself who left abusive homes, were homeless, and were constantly let down by every agency that was supposed to help me. Now, I have been let down again by Gulf Coast Bank and Trust who says I am not investable because they are a conservative bank. Might I suggest you revise your website to reflect how you do NOT invest in WOMEN in the community starting new business which states:"In 1990, a group of local investors led by Bank President and CEO Guy T. Williams took over American Savings. They shared a vision of building a bank that adhered to the old principles of customer service, yet backed them with the most powerful of today’s banking technologies. The result is a true community bank, able to provide individuals and businesses with the strength and resources they need to succeed – and able to recognize each of them individually when they walk through the front door of their local Gulf Coast Bank office." I will take my business elsewhere. And remember Guy Williams everyone told you that you would never own a bank... I have the same determination and will power you have... I don't need you!

I have been doing business with Bernard Guste @ Gulf Coast Bank since 2013. Bernard has provided expert advice and guidance in transitioning from a construction loan to a home mortgage, and now a refinance in 2021. His professional skills guided me through each process taking my dream build from plans to reality! I will continue to request Bernard Guste in all of my future endeavors.

The best customer service I’ve ever experienced in a bank.

We financed the purchase of our home through Gulf Coast 6 months ago. That was a great process. Recently, our lender let us know that rates had gone down substantially. We just refinanced our home loan, and are now saving $600 per month on our mortgage! The entire process was seamless, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from Gulf Coast.

That great service and very helpful. My banker, Bernard, is very patient and kind. He helps us a lot to understand all paperwork processing. One more time, thank you and gulf coast bank to give us the quick services.

I guess it's saying something that I still choose to bank here even though I haven't lived in Louisiana for years. I used to have an office across the street from the 200 St. Charles location and would deposit all my checks in person. I was very happy with how I rarely had to wait in line. Banks always make you wait! But at this location I could usually just walk right in. I've kept them despite moving away, in part because I like how they've never charged me fees. I switched to these guys from Chase because Chase charged me fees when I didn't use my debit card enough. This is part of the reason I've kept them. All the banks around me now like Citibank or Bank of America would require me to keep a certain amount of money in my account or to use my debit card a certain number of times or else they charge me fees. This bank doesn't do that, or at least I've never been charged a fee. A lot of banks also I guess automatically charge you for $100 of checking supplies when you open an account; they didn't do that to me. I am very happy with this bank, to the point that I have kept them despite relocating my business to New York. I hope they keep up the good work.
